New Leadership for K 2028: Dr. Axel von Wiedersperg to Head Exhibitor Advisory Board

The Exhibitor Advisory Board of K has convened in Düsseldorf and unanimously elected Dr. Axel von Wiedersperg, CEO of Brückner Group SE, as its new chairman. He succeeds Ulrich Reifenhäuser, who has shaped the board since 2004 and played a decisive role in defining the strategic direction of the world's leading trade fair for over two decades.

Von Wiedersperg brings extensive international industry experience to the role: he has led the Brückner Group since 2009, serves on the board of the Plastics and Rubber Machinery Association, and was already a member of the Advisory Board during the planning phase of the previous K. Under his leadership, the Brückner Group received the German Sustainability Award in the Plastics and Rubber Industry category in 2024.

At its inaugural meeting, the board reviewed feedback from exhibitors and trade visitors of K 2025 and used these findings to define key focus areas for K 2028. The next world-leading trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry will take place from 18 to 25 October 2028 in Düsseldorf.
