PE / PP FOAM EXTRUSION LINE - MODEL EXT753 (diam. screws 120mm)

FAP’s extrusion lines are robust and reliable, designed to work continuously, guaranteeing constant quality. The lines are made adopting the most advanced technologies including the new high energy efficiency system, the processes are stable and easy to be run by the operators for 24-hour day 7/7, minimizing industrial waste.
All FAP machines are customized and built inside the company under the direct control of the engineers.

Original designing by FAP model EXT753 is declared as the MOST FLEXIBLE EXTRUDER existing in the market, ensures foam productions from 120 to 400 kg/h with densities from 16 to 400 kg/m3, thicknesses from 0.8 to 20 mm. 


Thanks to experience and high professionalism, FAP team offers complete "turnkey" project and services that include the design phase, assemblage and installation, start-up of machinery, staff training with know-how transfer.

The direct injection extrusion process transforms plastic PE or PP pellets into expanded film (non cross link with closed cell structure polyethylene or polypropylene foam, can be 100% recycled).
The counter-rotating twin-screw technology and the special shape of screws allows to obtain the homogeneous mixing of the melt and the better control during the mixing process.
The exclusive and original designing of extrusion heads has been studied by FAP for excellent control of the material and its distribution inside before the exit.
The product comes out from the extruder as a tubular film, consequently to be cut longitudinally for its expansion and cooling on the supporting system and then be winded in reels. 

FAP has studied a specific reeling system “Soft Winding” which permits to have a full controlled tension among the reel coils, to obtain the same thickness of the internal and external spires of the roll controlling the post expansion and helping the right stabilization of the material.

The winding system was born in the 90s in FAP, it is called SOFT WINDING SYSTEM, which was developed over the years that allows the control of the tension of the rolls turns during the winding phase in order to leave sufficient space for the post expansion of the foam during the degassing phase of foam with the purpose to obtain the same thickness for the entire reel produced.

Calculations, carried out by FAP’s customers, prove that this system allows to save on average from 15 to 20% on the entire volume produced!

Optional units can be added to the automatic winding process:
-the automatic system to glue cardboard core
-the longitudinal cutting of foam (for cutting of edges, for more reels) and pre-cutting units
-the automatic trolley to load cardboard cores and unload material

Laminated materials are widely used in construction and packaging industries due to their thermal and acoustic insulation properties and to their excellent mechanical strength. The lamination process of materials can take place through two systems: hot air and hot roll. Both systems guarantee perfect adhesion of the laminated layers. The hot roll system is ideal for in-line lamination, while the hot air system is best for off-line lamination.

The combined off-line laminator offers both laminating solutions, making the machine extremely versatile.

FAP produces a range of laminators, suited to laminate foam and air bubble film with various materials: LDPE, HDPE, PP, metallized film, paper, aluminum, aluminum + LDPE.

The automatic cutter is suitable to cut expanded film (foam) of various thicknesses into single panels and formats.
 
3/ Cutter for angular profiles
This type of cutter produces three-dimensional angular profiles of different sizes.

Luigi Poli was a real pioneer in Italy when, during the 80′s, he specialized in design and production of machines and plants for the extrusion and transformation of foamed plastics. 
The entrepreneurial spirit of Poli and his great knowledge of the sector gained in previous experiences, gave life to a production reality that over time achieves results of great level and prestige. From the initial creation of processing machines for the packaging sector, today we have reached the design and construction of entire production units, complete in all their parts.
