LEAN 710 System Evaporation or Sputter Metallization
Our new LEAN 710 rapid-cycle 2 door vertical-fixture metalizer is the latest in our family of world-class PVD systems. The system is designed with a patent-pending Thermal Evaporation quick-change source, for deposition of aluminum onto plastic substrates. The first of its kind, the LEAN 710 is convertible, IN THE FIELD, from thermal evaporation to magnetron sputtering! The system can be configured for dual or single magnetron sputtering, or a combination thermal/sputtering arrangement. The LEAN 710 offers plasma etching/polymerization capabilities, and many additional options.
The PS4000SL is the global performance leader in Press-Side® Rapid Cycle Vacuum Metallizing. VTI pioneered the concept of locatingthe smaller batch, rapid cycle sputtering system in synchronous flow with the injection press. This innovation reduces scrap from excessive parts handling, and improves parts quality due to the superior film characteristics of magnetron sputtering.
SuperChrome™ PVD coating has all of the benefits of decorative chrome plating, without the harmful hexavalent chromium (Cr +6) compounds. Unlike conventional PVD coatings, SuperChrome™ requires no clear protective top-coat to interfere with the chrome finish. In addition, this resilient coating meets or exceeds the demands of the automotive, appliance, and sanitary industries, yet provides the rich quality appearance required for decorative coating applications. SuperChrome™ PVD coating has excellent adhesion on thermoplastic substrates, making it the preferred alternative for decorative plating on plastic.
VTI Press Side® 38 rapid cycle metalizer is configured for sputtering and capable of coating substrates with metals such as aluminum, brass, copper, stainless steels, chromium, nickel-chrome alloys, titanium, etc. The Press Side® 38 also includes plasma etching and plasma polymerization capabilities. VTIs Press-Side®Rapid Cycle systems are designed to achieve exceptionally fast processing cycles, ensuring high volume throughput in a synchronous manufacturing flow with injection molding.
