Levirex® is a next generation compound based on expansible and cross-linking polyolefins. Developed internally by Finproject in its own laboratories, it is ideal for the production of expanded and cross-linked products using injection technology.

The defining feature of the product is its combination of low density (0.10-0.50 g/cm3) with superior physical and mechanical properties (abrasion to DIN53516/77, 95/285 mm3) and excellent tactile characteristics (hardness 22-50 Shore A).

Levirex® is also environmentally friendly, because it contains no solvents that are harmful to health or the environment, and can therefore be reclaimed and reused in a new production cycle after pulverisation.

Levirex® is a closed cell foam material with a waterproof surface that is highly resistant to wear and deterioration caused by external agents, weathering and ultraviolet radiation. Available in a wide range of colours, Levirex® is a product with multiple possibilities, including the application of any printed pattern, logo or leatherette finish.

This special compound, which can be supplied in a variety of hardnesses, densities and colours to satisfy customers’ needs, is used in many different applications, including footwear, packaging, the automotive and hydro massage industries, sports equipment (water sports in particular), toys and interior design, etc.

The broad range of Levirex® compounds available includes special formulations for the safety footwear sector, where antistatic and oil-resistant properties are typically required, as well as products with superior sustainability and performance in terms of cushioning and comfort.

Finproject Industries produce PVC plastic materials in various granular formats: rigid and plasticised PVC, in both compact and expanded versions, and formulated if required with phthalate-free plasticising agents or special silver ion sanitisation additives. Since 2013, the range of foam products has been enhanced with the special PVC Dry Blend and the rigid C-PVC-based compound, which has better thermal, softening and flame resistance properties than standard PVC.

Offering a huge range of compounds used in numerous sectors of application, including extrusion, die-moulding and blow-moulding, the Finproject Compounds Division is a valuable partner for customers working in the various polymer product categories and foam products, including electrical cables, door and window fixtures, tubes, pipes, seals and gaskets, rigid and soft edging strips for furniture, footwear, plastic bottles and plastic containers, to mention just a few.

XL EXTRALIGHT® is a closed cell expanded molded foam and crosslinked foam produced using an exclusive process patented in Italy and worldwide, covering the entire process from formulation through to moulding.

This polyolefin compound, a soft foam made from polyolefin-basedgranules, weighs around three times less than other compounds with the same mechanical properties. The defining feature of the product is its combination of low density and optimum physical and mechanical properties with a distinctive soft touch handfeel.

An innovative soft durable foam, XL EXTRALIGHT® stands out for its lightness, comfort (in the Performance Comfort formulation, for example) and colour (available in mono- and dual-color versions), as well as being highly flexible and strong. These unique features have driven significant innovations in the fashion, automotive, spa industry, protection, safety and other sectors.

XL EXTRALIGHT® as a custom molded foam clearly has the potential to be the ingredient of choice for companies looking to develop products that are innovative, functional and unique.
