EVO XD 2014

New series flexo gearless EVO XD for high profit
 The EVO XD HIGH PROFIT is designed to meet the ever increasing demands for highly efficient and quality production whilst keeping capital investmentlow. It features a number of technical innovations especially within the printing section including a newly designed print deck. Particular reference is drawn to a new drying system for the final bridge dryer which allows efficient print production with maximum energy savings. 
With the “EVO XD” it is possible to achieve excellent results in terms of HIGH PERFORMANCE thanks to the robust mechanics of the printing section with minimised energy consumption due to a compact design and a rationalized integration of all accessories. It reduces down-time for job changeovers and notably increases the efficiency of the printing process.
Novel integrated solutions aimed at the drastic reduction in waste both at print set-up and during production, such as Flexotecnica’s auto impression setting system A.I.F developed in-house. EVO XG

Gearless flexo press EVO XG for high performance
 International competition and the constant dialogue with multinational converters have spurred KBA-Flexotecnica to develop the sleeve gearless series named EVO XG for increased printing widths and higher printing speeds. 
Many engineering and constructive details, from the frames to the print deck, make it an extremely robust press well suited to printing at high speed on various substrates.
This prestigious range EVO XG has been designed to offer flexible solutions for short, medium and long runs with the objective of reducing job changeover times whilst effectively reducing down time.
A number of optional devices such as the pneumatic ejectors for print and anilox sleeves as well as the patented SSC (Safe Sleeve Change) which allows the preparation of idle units during machine run in the safest and most comfortable way, have been engineered to improve the efficiency and flexibility of the EVO XG.
As an additional option the print deck can be further enhanced by a new “Pipeless” doctor chamber design that removes all ink piping from the operating area to outside the machines substantial side frames.

EVO XG LR

Gearless flexo press EVO XG LR for large jobs
The series “LR” (Large Repeat) gearless press is designed to meet the demands of large industrial printing packaging jobs. It guarantees high production performance even on wide web widths and offers quick changes of print and anilox sleeves in the press.
Due to the maximum print repeat provided and the higher profile of the printing section, the machines in this range are also equipped with “SRS” (Smart Ride System) including special trolleys with mobile lifting platforms for safer and more comfortable change of heavier sleeves and adaptors.
A number of optional devices such as the pneumatic ejectors for printing and anilox sleeves as well as the patented “SSC” (Safe Sleeve Change), which allow the preparation of idle units during machine run in the safest and most comfortable way, are available as optional accessories for the EVO XG LR.

KBA-Flexotecnica is specialized in the manufacture of printing and converting machines for flexible and rigid packaging. The company in Tavazzano close to Milan is spread over an area of 25,000m². Its employees are characterized by longstanding experience, in-depth knowledge and the necessary core competence.
Our competence is focused on the following technologies:
  • Flexographic central-impression printing presses with all printing units clustered around one single impression cylinder or in stack type configuration for printing on either front or reverse side of the printing substrate, plastic film or paper and board or aluminum foil or multi-layered laminated material
  • Coating and laminating machines with flexo, gravure, semi-flexo or solvent-free technology for the application of cold seal and hot melt units
  • Water, solvent-based or UV, EB digital printing
  • Combined lines featuring hybrid technology with printing, special coating, varnishing applied in one single passage ensure the highest efficiency of the converting process
  • Most of the applications are for food packaging, pouches and bags, medical packages, labels, industrial bags, barrier films for specialty products, packaging for detergents, cosmetics and personal hygiene, containers for milk or other liquids, multi-carriage bags for bottles and fruit as well as glasses and carton trays for food.
Our flexographic printing presses are equipped with 1 to 12 printing units and cover printing widths from min. 600mm (23.62in) up to max. 2500mm (98.42in) for varying print repeats and a printing speed of up to 1000mt/min (3,281fpm).
