VARGA ADHESIVE DOSER

ADHESIVE DOSING
The purpose of the adhesive doser unit is to heat, mix and store two-component adhesive in a moisture-free environment and dosing the adhesive for the laminator machine according to a pre-set proportion to ensure uniform level of supply in between the rollers. Plastic guide flaps on the sides of the rollers prevent the adhesive from overflowing, so only small amounts of components need to be mixed at a time, ensuring that only insignificant amounts of adhesive is wasted by the end of the laminating process. Uniform mixing of the components is assisted by a pneumatic mixer which is mounted on the laminator, thereby guaranteeing the proper mixing of the adhesive in between the rollers with a continuous reciprocating motion. In case the machine stops, adhesive bonding time is extended by the continued rotation of the storage cylinders, thus preventing clogs. The doser is equipped with a static mixer head, gear pumps, inverters, dehumidifier and heater, all of which are controlled by the laminator’s color touch-screen terminal. The exact mixing ratio is checked by flow meters, adhesive levels are measured by ultrasonic sensors. Components of the adhesive arrive to the mixer head via separate supply lines so only short sections of the supply line must be cleaned. The mixed adhesive can be stored in the doser’s container for days, thereby minimizing adhesive waste.

VARGA FLEXO PLATE MOUNTER

The precondition of top quality printing is the accurate mounting of the plate. In order to support this activity, we developed our sleeve plate mounter equipment which enables high quality at a favorable price even in basic configuration. The built-in pneumatic air-cylinders are developed to enable easy replacement and mounting of sleeves. After the double-sided (sticky back) adhesive tape is fixed onto the sleeve, the excess can be removed with the help of a cutting tool. The accurate mounting of the plates is supported by a moving, folding table on which the plates can be positioned, and laser lights are provided for accurate positioning.

The accuracy is enabled by 80x digital video cameras connected to a wide-screen LED monitor, so that the position of the micro rasters or the hair-lines will be accurate. The mounting points are illuminated by high-performance LED lights. These lights and the screen are also controlled by a motion detector, which automatically powers them off when they are out of use. Power on is automatic, thereby extending their life span. Pictures taken by the digital video cameras are processed by a computer.

The basic configuration contains manual camera control, height control and air-cylinder rotation with a 12 way cylinder staging facility with digital display of the current status of the cameras. All the controls are available in driver equipped versions with touch screen interface and pneumatic controlled pressure roller and a mounting table with bottom lighting to easy preparation of the plates.

  • Varga-Flexo Ltd. was founded in 1993. Our founder Endre Varga had been designing and producing flexographic printing presses for 15 years at that time. He founded the company together with his son with the vision of launching new flexographic printing presses, laminators, slitters and plate mounters on the international market, offering excellent value for money and high quality.
