PreWatcher® Inline

The PreWatcher® Inline is the INTRAVIS Inspection System that allows the bulk inspection of preforms. In its third generation, it is designed as an inline solution and is distinguished by its exceptional space-saving design and high inspection speeds. Furthermore, it is able to read cavity numbers.

The PreWatcher® Inline inspects the quality characteristics of up to 72,000 preforms per hour with a footprint of only eight square meters. The orientation mechanism that operates with centrifugal force is integrated directly into the system.

Six cameras inspect thread and body while two cameras ensure the inspection of the top sealing surface and the gate area. The system includes the most elaborate cavity number reading worldwide as INTRAVIS were first to offer this inspection possibility in 2004. The specific self developed software has been refined ever since and does not draw on foreign libraries.

The PreWatcher® Inline can be installed inline behind an injection molding machine. Aside from production the PreWatcher® Inline can be used for offline inspection in combination with bunker, tipper and octabin filler.

PreWatcher® Offline

The PreWatcher® Offline is the new standard in quality control of transparent and opaque preforms. Within its slim and space-saving design, it still performs a comprehensive inspection – no detail will escape its 17 cameras. In addition, the system can be adjusted to different preform sizes quickly and efficiently, and the collection of reference samples has never been easier!

17 cameras performing a comprehensive inspection, speeds up to 100,000 preforms per hour, and a 3m² (32 ft²) footprint – these are the main features of the PreWatcher® Offline. Sample-PreWatcher®

The Sample-PreWatcher® continuously analyses the quality of preforms by sampling individual preform batches or shots. The system can be installed behind an injection molding machine or can be used in the laboratory.

The Sample-PreWatcher® performs a comprehensive measurement and inspection of preforms providing detailed objective quality data on the screen, in reports or as database entries. The system helps to detect recurring production deviations and delivers valuable data which allows for in-depth long and short term quality analysis. Complete test results of a 96 cavity mold are already provided within approximately eight minutes. This allows for startup of a newly installed mold in a much shorter amount of time. As the preforms do not come in contact with a person they do not have to be disposed of afterwards.

The CapWatcher® Q-Line brings the quality lab to your production line. With its eight high resolution cameras, a precision of 1/100th of a millimeter, more than 40 inspection criteria per closure and a speed of up to 60 closures per second, the CapWatcher® Q-Line gathers 144.000 cavity related product information per minute. Additionally, it visualizes them and offers comprehensive opportunities for statistical analysis.

The high performance capacity gives you the security of good closures – not after your quality lab checked it, but right when it is produced.

Your advantages: You are able to adjust single cavities instead of the whole mold, new resins and master batches are easily and fast introduced, material fatigue is detected early and necessary maintenance can be planned.
Above all this stands the usability of your closure. Temper evident band, thread and sealing elements have to be perfect to secure the functionality of the closure. Because of this, we concentrated on these elements.

For the first time the CapWatcher® Q-Line inspects the slitting quality of the temper evident band. This enables you to identify worn out cutters or problems with the temperature of the blade. A perfect thread is also important for the full functionality of your closure. Therefore we inspect the whole thread with an inhouse-developed imaging process for damages. Even smallest notches or missing material at the sealing elements – either one- or two-piece closures – can lead to erratic degassing or entering of foreign material. To avoid this, two autonomous inspection stations inspect for the full functionality of the sealing elements.

For the first time ever you can also inspect the closures for their temperature. This enables determination of the shrinking process of the closure and therefore can ensure that the closure has the exact dimensions needed for the capping process.

Furthermore, every closure receives a time stamp. In times of interlaced production lines, the measured dimensions can be used for a closed loop back to the injection molding machine. This allows for minimal disturbances and optimal adjustments.

CapWatcher® S-Line

The third generation of the well-established CapWatcher® inspects closures better than ever. The system is distinguished by advanced features, including processing an increased volume of image data, improved closure handling as well as complete system control through a single HMI.

IMLWatcher®

The IMLWatcher® ensures a comprehensive quality control for the in-mold labeling process. To use the IntraVisualizer®, INTRAVIS inspection systems are simply connected to a central SQL database. Today, the company is one of the world market leaders for vision inspection systems for the plastic packaging industry.
