Silos and storage systems

In most cases, dust, chips and other process waste are valuable resources and therefore need to be compacted or stored before being processed along in the recovered substance cycle. Various silo systems are available (textile, steel or aluminum silo, container).

Filter systems

Filter systems are used to clean the extracted air. Depending on the dust characteristics and quantities different filter media (needle felt, textile, fleece) as well as various dedusting systems (reverse air, compressed air, vibration) are applicable.

Separating systems

Similar to capturing, the selection and design of the separation method needs to be highly customized to the specific material and volume flow. Cyclone, gravity and grid separators in various sizes are specifically adapted to each application. Those separators are often combined with high-volume rotary valves.

Discharge, conveying and duct systems

The selection and dimensioning of discharge and conveying systems is of utmost importance for a sustainable and safe exhaustion unit. A wide range of conveying screws and rotary valves is available. Special discharge systems are used for material which does not flow easily.

Captured dust, chips and other process waste is conveyed in a duct system. This system needs to be customized in its material type (steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum) and wall thickness relating to the kind of material to be conveyed.

Ventilators and shredders

Radial fans provide the necessary negative pressure which is needed for creating the conveying current. The fans can either convey the aspired material directly (transport fans) or be positioned on the clean air side behind the separator systems (clean air fans). Injector systems are used for specific applications such as conveyance of trim and granules. 

However production waste is often generated in sizes that do not permit reliable, economic extracting. Therefore the suctioning process is preceeded by a shredding system (shredding fans, cutters, cutting mills, single and multi-stage macerators, granulators).

Stop valves and change-over dampers

Robust, reliable stop valves and change-over dampers are needed in the conveying of material between different process steps and different collecting devices. The valves and dampers may be operated manually, electrically or pneumatically.

Explosion protection ATEX

Different types of material develop a higher risk for inflammation or explosion while they are conveyed. In order to avoid interruption of production processes safety systems are an integral part of our extraction devices. Explosion-proof ventilators – according to ATEX guidelines – and special sensors are just two examples.

Electrical controlling

Suction and disposal equipment requires simple robust and clearly structured electrical controls. Reliability, ease of use as well as energy efficiency are essential. Furthermore, intelligent adaptation to performance load/need (e.g. speed control, sensors) is necessary to ensure the facility can be operated economically. These goals are achieved through deliberate project planning, an energy management system as well as customization during commissioning.

The manufacture of packaging implies production waste such as edge trimmings, foil cuttings or punch grids from different materials. Packaging XPS or EPS leads to trimming waste that must be removed from the production process reliably and may sometimes be recycled.
