Yamabun has pioneered thickness measuring systems since its foundation in 1971 reflecting its commitment to the industry with the use of high technology and advanced techniques.
Yamabun realizes that with the global distribution of goods and information as well as increasing need for energy saving and environmental conservation, plastic films and sheets are required to exhibit high quality and high functionality; therefore accurate thickness measurement of these products is essential.
Our thickness measuring systems are categorized into two types; one consists of online systems used in the manufacturing process and the other consists of offline systems used for tests. We have a wide range of thickness measuring systems including those based on contact measurement and X-ray, laser, and interference spectroscopy. These systems are contributing to the improved quality and reduced energy, for use in various products such as; packages, optical devices, electron materials, solar cells, and lithium-ion batteries.
After developing new products, we actively participate in trade exhibitions related to plastics to introduce our equipment, and obtain feedback from our customers, learning about their needs. At the same time we collect information about our customers requests and the requirements of our systems, in their use.
We have participated in various exhibitions, receiving high praise every year.
In 1998, we also participated in the K Exhibition, the largest plastics show in Europe, which is held every three years. This was the first time that a Japanese company engaged with thickness measurements has participated; we have partaken in all six exhibitions since 1998.
We provide appropriate thickness measuring systems to meet the diversified needs of our customers; while aiming to manufacture the worlds best thickness measuring systems, we are globally distributing technologies and products related to thickness measurement in worldwide markets.
