At the leading international trade fair for the plastics industry, REGLOPLAS will shine a spotlight on its networked temperature control units and their integration into data exchange systems for industrial production.
The latest generation of temperature control units can be networked with injection moulding and other plastics processing machines using the OPC UA communication protocol. They can also be connected to the central control, PPS, MES and ERP systems for plastics production via OPC UA. This creates the prerequisites for continuous data exchange in highly automated, digitized plastics processing.
The integration facilitates demand-oriented control, as well as visualization and data evaluation: a central "dashboard" creates transparency throughout the process. For example, it allows parameters to be adapted to current requirements and visualizes all relevant process data.
Each temperature control unit has its own OPC UA client server and can therefore be fully integrated into the user's PPS, MES and ERP systems, among others. In addition, the standardized interface is compatible with other industry-standard protocols and bus systems (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, Powerlink, etc.). Communication can also take place across locations – via the cloud, for instance.
At the K 2019, REGLOPLAS will demonstrate "live" the practical advantages offered by the network connectivity of temperature control units. The central dashboard visualizes all relevant data and the devices can be configured accordingly via this interface. We will also demonstrate this networking solution for REGLOPLAS equipment used by machine manufacturers in other halls. This is our latest contribution to the digitized smart factory of the future."
In addition to the OPC UA-capable units, REGLOPLAS will be introducing a new temperature control unit for the high-temperature range at K 2019. With the P230S, the company has developed a unique pressurised water temperature control unit for the processing of high-performance plastics that provides a flow temperature of 230 oC. The P230S is the first pressurised water temperature control unit for the processing of high-performance plastics. Now, REGLOPLAS is extending the performance range of this series by introducing the P230M, with increased pumping and heating performances. The patented pressure holder guarantees stable system pressure control, even in this temperature range.
Another innovation is the second generation of P100XS, which was developed for the temperature control of very small tools (e.g. for micro injection moulding). Until now, the P100XS provided pressurized water with a flow temperature of 100 oC. With the latest version, the temperature range has been extended to 140 °C.
The K 2019 exhibits at the REGLOPLAS booth also include the new RT 200 control system, which combines all operating and display elements in one large TFT display. This control system will be successively available for all series.
