The products portfolio is among the market’s most diverse:

SEBS-based TPE-S for injection and extrusion moulding;
TPE-S based SBS for injection and extrusion moulding;
Polyolefin-based TPO for injection and extrusion moulding;
Polyethylene-based (PE) Compound.
TPE (SBS) – TPE (SEBS) – TPO (SEBS): Compounds suitable for injection and extrusion moulding, used in production of products for sports and hobbies, the automotive industry, home furnishings, construction, electrical applications and medical devices.

The Commercial Brand of our products, all obtained with sophisticated mixing processes. The elastomeric portion of the compound is composed of styrene rubber while the plastic part is composed of polyolefins (polypropylene – PP – polyethylene – PE – ethylene vinyl acetate – EVA – styrene polymers – PS e HIPS).

Elastomer: material exhibiting an elastic behaviour, showing notable deformities when stressed to then return to its original shape when stress is removed.
Thermoplastic: material which, if heated, softens becoming viscous and fluid like a liquid to then return to its original state once cooled and brought back to room temperature.
A thermoplastic material can be moulded to achieve a desired shape.
Thermoplastic Elastomer: A material characterised by elastic behaviour at room temperature and viscous behaviour at high temperatures. It possesses therefore the characteristics of both elastomers and thermoplastics.

Such properties make it possible to create a vast range of products with diversified thermal and mechanical characteristics (soft or rigid, opaque or transparent, elastic, resistant to low temperatures, appropriate for contact with foods, can be overmoulded and co-extruded with technopolymers), easy to process and particularly suitable for creating sophisticated designs.

SEBS: Compounds obtained from the SEBS block copolymer (Styrene-Ethylene/Butylene-Styrene) which, due to its completely saturate structure, guarantees optimal age and atmospheric resistance making it usable for external applications.

TPO/SEBS: SEBS-modified polyolefin thermoplastic compounds. Make up our Shore D line of products characterised by optimal age and low temperature resistance (originally developed for the ski sector of the sports market).

SBS: Compounds obtained from the SBS block copolymer, suitable for technical applications requiring plastic, economical and easy to process.

Products obtained by mixing the SEBS elastomer with polyolefin polymers such as propylene, polyethylene, the ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer and others.

Thanks to the SEBS copolymer structure, the compounds are highly resistant to age and atmospheric agents. Since they do not hydrolyse when in contact with humidity and guarantee excellent product life times, they are suitable for external applications.

Designed to guarantee the best performance over a wide range of temperatures, the Marfran E are highly elastic and flexible when cold, considerably resistant to heat and have excellent compression set values.

Its versatility, lightness, easy processing, and optimal colourability make it useful in a continually growing number of applications.

The Marfran E, resistant to all aqueous solutions including bases and inorganic acids, have an excellent atoxicity level allowing formulation with components and doses suitable for food contact in adherence to national and international regulations.

The series’:

SERIES G: Standard, general-use compounds divisible into varying translucencies; unloaded (G1), semi-loaded (G2), loaded (G3); high flow (FG) and supplemented with mould-release agents (RLS).
SERIES DP AND DV2: Compounds for underwater applications

SERIES M: High performance, low compression set compounds; divisible into varying translucencies; unloaded (M1), semi-loaded (M2), loaded (M3); supplemented with mould-release agents (RLS).

SERIES KK: Transparent crystalline compounds. Can be supplemented with mould-release agents (RLS) or produced in high flow version (FKK).

SERIES KPA: Special transparent compounds without plasticizers (oil free).

SERIES A and TPA: The A2’s are compounds created for overmoulding on ABS, PC, PC/ABS, PMMA, SAN and ASA. TPA1, TPA2 and TPA3 are compounds created for overmoulding on PA6 and PA 66.

Compounds obtained by mixing polyolefin polymers or styrene polymers with the SBS elasotmer (Styrene-Butylene-Styrene). This product line is easy to process and colour, is highly elastic and resistant to abrasion and bending.

The line is divided into four sub-lines/families:

MARFRAN B (ex Elifran): Compounds obtained by mixing the SBS elasotmer with polypropylene, polyethylene and ethylene vinyl acetate were conceived to meet the needs of those manufacturing technical items requiring materials that are elastic, economical and easy to process but are not greatly resistant to age or elevated operating temperatures. Compared to traditional SBS-based compounds, they have better physical and mechanical characteristics and are more resistant. They are used mostly in household items, furnishings and domestic appliance components.

MARFRAN BE (ex Elastofran): Compounds obtained by mixing styrene polymers such as crystalline polystyrene (PS) or impact-resistant polystyrene (HIPS) are used in low cost applications (moulding of shower mats, carpet or fabric treatment, production of plumbing gaskets).
MARFRAN C e CG (ex Elastofran e Gumifran): Compounds obtained by mixing styrene polymers such as crystalline polystyrene (PS) or impact-resistant polystyrene (HIPS) are mainly supplied for footwear production.

The C SERIES comprises products used for production of footwear soles that are shiny in appearance.

The CG SERIES comprises products used for production of footwear soles that are opaque (similar to rubber) in appearance. Offer products with various opacity levels that can be directly injected onto shoe uppers or expanded to form wedge heels and ultra-light soles for special-use footwear (ski boots with incorporated metal inserts).

MARFRAN BA (ex Adifran): Compounds obtained by mixing styrene polymers, designed to submit to taxing operating conditions, especially repeated abrasion and bending. They are recommended for production of footwear soles.

PHTHALATE FREE Our compounds are free from latex and substances that can cause allergies. It does not contain PVC and phthalate plasticizers and we banned the use of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), PBB and PBDE

Our MARFRAN compound is suitable for application in a wide range of fields: from consumer goods to window profiles, gaskets, pipes, sports, from medical devices to the electric / electronic market.

Our range of medical product is manufactured in a controlled Clean Room according to ISO 13485, the standard for the production of medical devices. We certify each compound according to the European standard ISO 10993 and the American USP Class VI, respecting all guidelines for biocompatibility and safety. Due to complete bio-compatibility, our Class VI compound passed all tests, therefore we can sell our product both in USA and Canada.
