Bürkle supply for instance complete extruder post processing lines with capacities of 400 - >2.000 kg/h. All components are equipped for an automatic operation with recipes with electric axles. Of course all machinery are available also only with manual adjustment.

The Bürkle Planer has been developed to offer a maximum accuracy and surface quality even with feed speeds of 60 m/min. By the special combination of Bürkle vacuum transport, the exactly sanded processing tables in the direct opposite of the tool shafts as well as the suction hoods optimally adapted to the process, extremely high surface qualities and thickness accuracies are achieved in all fields of compressive strengths. The maximum rotation speed of the tool shaft amounts 6.000 rpm. The Bürkle surface milling is available both as single-sided machines working from the top and as machines for the simultaneous process from the top and bottom. Adaption of machines to different product thicknesses is done fully-automatic by the control system and ensures short retooling times. For example, the change of the top tool shaft is done by 2 persons in less than 10 minutes.

No matter whether it be single machines, such as the Bürkle roller coating machine glue, roller presses with one or several rollers arranged behind one another or hot embossing calenders, all machines are readily available with an opening width of 200 - 400 mm as part of our standard range of supply for insulation boards.
Our laminating lines for the application of PUR hot melt of flexible modular design are suitable for smaller batch sizes (Easy Line) as well as for greater batch sizes (Multi-Line) in the form of modular extendable lines. In combination with our wide selection of handling equipment and automated lay-up systems, we also customize complete lines particularly to your needs (Industrial-Line) for high-quality upgrade of board materials of all kinds.
The Bürkle Thermal Bonding lines allow the production of multilayer XPS boards up to a total thickness of 400 mm. The Thermal Bonding Station can be integrated either as a manually operated standalone machine, as a bypass system parallel to an existing extrusion system or as an inline complete solution integrated into an existing post processing line.
Alternatively to the operation of the line in direct vicinity to an extrusion line, there are, however, also offline solutions available, on which the raw boards can be processed for instance out of the warehouse in an order-related manner.
The modular design of the Bürkle Thermal Bonding Lines allows a step-by-step extension of the production process. Start for instance with the standalone machine, then upgrade the thermal bonding line to an in-line integration, or as an off-line or a bypass system.

Thermobonding Lines of Bürkle ensure a single-sided or double-sided coating of a dark EPS insulating board with a light and thin EPS top layer. The total thickness of the finished board amounts maximum 400 mm. In the field of EPS the thermobonding station can be integrated as a direct bypass parallel to an existing cutting line for hot wires. Used as a separately arranged line the plant can also be operated via raw board stack e.g. order-related from a warehouse. From the basic level with on thermobonding station the line can be subsequently extended for the coating of the second board side.
By using our vacuum transport technology as well as intelligent control technology the capacity of the thermobonding line is up to 20 boards per minute.

Bürkle test lab for thermal insulation board applications extended at the Mastholte site
The test laboratory for the thermal insulation boards’ industry based in Mastholte (North-Rhine Westphalia) was widened by the new generation of Bürkle Thermal Bonding Lines in May 2016.
The new line allows you to thermally bond up to 1.300 mm wide and up to 3.100 mm long thermal insulation boards. The maximum overall thickness of the welded boards after welding on the line is 400 m also with 1.300 mm wide raw boards.
The new generation of Thermal Bonding Lines offers optimum possibilities for both standard and also special dimensions, as it can process all raw board widths within a range of 600 - 1.300 mm.
The existing thermal bonding line from 2014 formerly installed at the Mastholte laboratory was sold to a renowned producer of XPS thermal insulation boards in the course of the extension and has been operated under full production conditions at its new factory location already since the beginning of July this year.
In addition to the above mentioned thermal bonding line for hard foam boards, the test lab is equipped with a combined machining centre for machining the board edges and surfaces. The milling line can process boards with a maximum thickness of 400 mm and mill boards on sides and surfaces. With the machinery on site at the Mastholte test lab, we are thus able to demonstrate the complete process chain beginning at the raw board and finishing off at the formatted finished multi-layered board.
Besides the support of our own R&D regarding the optimisation of existing processes, the development and analyses of new technologies, processes or products, the test lab is of course also at the disposition of existing and potential customers for joint test runs. The main focus of our test lab is to secure and constantly increase the required performance and quality to be able to offer our customers solutions early in time for ever increasing demands of the market.
