Our range of customer-focused specialty films is perfectly complemented by NOWOSTRAIGHT, a uniaxial stretched flat film. This film has been designed in accordance with the requirements of films used in flexible packaging such as stand-up pouches for food & non-food related packaging. In laminates the particular straight tearing behaviour of the film is transferred to the entire composite laminate. A weakening of the barrier properties, as it occurs by the application of laser perforation or laser scribing, is avoided.

NOWOCARRY - MDO Film for Carry Handles
For enhanced comfort when carrying multipacks (e.g. six-packs of PET-bottles), these are self-adhesive carrying handles with an insert as part of the holding section.
The carrying handle consists essentially of a transparent film strip with high tensile strength, which has an adhesive coating on one side. In order to neutralise the holding region, paper is used for standard applications. This paper insert also serves as a carrier for product advertising and sales related information (e.g. barcode). In order to increase the level of comfort while carrying, and to avoid the insert edges breaking, our monoaxially-oriented foamed film NOWOLABEL C can be used in place of the paper insert.
Our tensilized polypropylene film NOWOCARRY enhances the required features – an extremely high stress resistance with low elongation – providing an ideal combination. The typical strip width is 25 mm.
As a specialist company in the field of monoaxially based flat films, we are also able to offer a non-oriented version, known as cast-film available in various thicknesses.
Starting with PP, Polyolefins, HDPE and LDPE and compounds thereof, these types of film are used alongside specific technical applications. However the introduction of other thermoplastic material is also feasible.
Whether these are used as sealing within the electrical industry, as thermoforming film for medical applications, as a printing plate mounting tape in the printing industry, or as in-mould labels, the possibilities are virtually endless.
The outstanding properties of these films include the balanced tensile properties in both directions, their toughness and their outstanding level of resistance to tearing.
According to your requirements for final applications, our films can be incorporated with supplements e.g. for UV stabilisation, or to improve surface adhesion they can also be modified using different types of filler.
Polypropylene foamed and monoaxially-oriented films (MOPP) are an attractive addition to the decoration industry. Whether its for gift packing with bows and rosettes or for decorating, our PP-films really introduce extra colour and cheerfulness into your lives.
Alternatively, mono or coextruded films can also be produced. Coextruded films come equipped with a compact skin layer which provides a matt (C), gloss (HG1) or a high gloss (HG2, HG3) surface finish. They are therefore, particularly suitable for printing, applying direct metallising or for flocking. Due to their closed cellular foam-based structure, the monolayer films also have a relatively smooth surface.
The foam structure provides a very low weight per unit area for various types of features, and yet, the film has strong resistance to tearing as a result of its monoaxial orientation.

NOWOFILM HD - Monoaxialy oriented or non-oriented HDPE Film
When compared to a monoaxially oriented Polypropylene film, a monoaxially stretched
NOWOFILM HD film can clearly be distinguished in terms of its property profile.
The orientation of the film in Machine Direction itself gives you the impression that this really is something special. The hazy Cast Film turns into a highly transparent film, once it has been stretched lengthways. However, its not only the optical properties which are special.
Because of its outstanding tear propagation resistance, this film is the most suitable for situations of extreme stress.
In addition to this, the paper-like low restoring force provides the film with excellent deadfold properties.
Foamed monoaxially-oriented polypropylene films (MOPP) are quite versatile and can be applied in label production.
Either as a carrying handle for fruit and vegetables or other consumer goods, as well as for lamination with craft- or thermal paper for wine glass labels and labelling banners, our quality film NOWOLABEL is most suited for promoting relevant product and manufacturer details.
Accurate print images can be achieved with a surface, founded on a closed cell structure.
A high yield can be obtained with high foaming ratios. Despite its low density, the film has a high level of tear resistance due to its monoaxial orientation.
For special requests concerning print quality (higher contrast, clearer print image) we can offer our single-sided coextruded version (foamed/compact) NOWOLABEL C with an even smoother print surface.
NOWOLINER - MDO Film for manufacturing of release liners
Joining mechanisms for industrial or private applications are made better by adopting this adhesion technique. Highly efficient bonding can be achieved by using double sided adhesive tapes.
Our film-quality NOWOLINER for release liners provides the right type of double-sided adhesive tape covering after they have been silicone coated on both sides. The most frequent non-solvent or solvent- based platinum curing silicone systems and the simple processing of UV curing silicone systems are founded on radical or cationic polymerisation.
Due to the high levels of stiffness and mechanical strength, these monoaxially-oriented films can be applied without any issues during both manual and mechanical operations. The release liners are used as film strips or as die cuts.
For example, NOWOLINER can be used as liners for self-adhesive envelopes, bags and cartons. Envelopes and small cardboard parcels use the release tape for the self-adhesive seal and because of the MOPP properties, the packages are easy to open. They can also be used in the assembly process for mobile phones and automobiles.
Modern-day product designers love to use their imagination. They produce highly unusual designs for consumer goods. Round, oval and bulb shaped cans, jars which taper towards the top edge, bottles with stoppers and protrusions, along with convex or concave containers are just some of the ranges of packaging recently created.
It goes without saying that these artistic containers must be decorated with brand names, images and descriptions before they can be used.
Under these circumstances, films are often printed and placed over the containers – a relatively inexpensive method which not only embellishes the product, but which also provides the container with a certain stability.
With shrinkage values in excess of 40 % in the machine direction, the shrinkage properties of our NOWOSHRINK films significantly exceed those of standard types of BOPP film.
Although similar shrinkage properties for shrinkage films can be achieved using polystyrene, our NOWOSHRINK films provide the opportunity for both, with labels and containers produced from the same polymer. It is a solution which allows the most effective type of recycling potential.
With our new ultra strong polypropylene film, we are now able to offer strong characteristics similar to those of metallic properties. However, the low density of PP is maintained to provide an unbeatable combination!
Imagine you need to move a container which weighs as much as an elephant (approx. 3.5 tons). Instead of using strong cable connections, a 53-centimeter-wide film should prove sufficient. When packing steel cables, this film can be used to cover the products without any need for significant expansion.
Extreme strength combined with low expansion are exactly the right types of product features demanded by the strictest requirements for packaging and transport applications.

High-strength tapes are a typical feature of monoaxially-oriented (tensilised) polypropylene films (MOPP). The high levels of power absorption and high elastic modulus under simultaneously low elongation help to provide particularly favourable characteristics with regard to the following applications:
Securing pallets, strapping pallets with mixed or collected loads, bundling profiles and pipes, additional reinforcements for cardboard boxes, closing heavy packaging, securing heavy and the heaviest packaged goods including coils, securing electrical components for transportation, as well as with lacquered and coated surfaces, e.g. for household appliances (white goods) and items of furniture.
MOPP strapping tapes maintain their efficiency over a wide range of temperatures. They are resistant to abrasion, and are damp proof and tear proof.
Furthermore, the MOPP strapping tape provides an ideal advertising medium, when printed with a logo or advertising slogan.

NOWOTEAR - MDO Film for manufacturing tear tapes
Excellent tensile features and maximum tear properties help to make monoaxially-oriented polypropylene film (MOPP) the most successful base material for tear strips.
The tear strip can be used an opening aid and is becoming ever more popular as goods are becoming packaged even more tightly, and the risk of damaging the packed goods when opening with knives and scissors remains very high. This level of reassurance for the customer results in a winning product image.
For the tear strips for overwrapping films, we offer a thickness range of 26 - 40 µm. For cardboard tear strips, the film thickness is within the range of 60 - 125 µm, depending upon the amount of load.
The advantage over BOPP films is the fact that MOPP has a significantly lower elongation. This allows application machines to run at a considerably higher speed.
For envelopes made from cardboard and for small parcels the function of the release liner for the self-adhesive seal and the tear strip can be combined in a single adhesive tape made from MOPP film.
For re-assessing packaging, or for advertising purposes, the tear strips are now available in improved print quality.
Knowing exactly which hose to use ensures greater safety and organization in sectors such as industry, medicine or commerce. Lettering, graphics or logos clearly identify each rubber hose – allowing you to see at a glance what it is with no risk of mix-ups.
But how do the characters get onto the hose? This is where our specially developed NOWOTRANS comes in. With the help of this MDO Polypropylene film, "ink" is applied to the blank round tube during a transfer printing process. Because the dye is vaporised onto the hose under the influence of heat, there are no raised up areas at all. What is more, the result is highly resistant to UV radiation and other environmental effects.
Thanks to NOWOTRANS, your hoses are labelled clearly and you need never wonder which one to use.
This application made from polypropylene film, along with those made from mono-oriented compacted or foamed, or unstretched SOFT foam, provides an advantage to the cable industry because of these film properties:

According to your requirements, there are three film qualities available:
NOWOCABLE PPE: A compact, mono-oriented polypropylene film used for insulating, separating and bundling cables.
NOWOCABLE PPF: A foamed, mono-oriented polypropylene film with a closed cell structure, used for insulating, separating and bundling cables.
NOWOCABLE Soft: A foamed, non-oriented polypropylene film with a closed cell structure. This is an adequate substitute for soft-PVC-film because of its low density film softness.
Monoaxial-orientated film is made from PP (compacted or foamed) for fastening various items and information in relation to advertising.
A variety of surface structures (smooth, foamed, silk effect) and film properties (stiff, standard, soft) are combined alongside an extraordinary high tensile strength which helps to provide secure and highly attractive banded packaging for a variety of different products.

NOWOFLON ET - ETFE Film for Architecture
Expressive and striking structures, visual subtlety and lightness, a fascinating play of light and colour – these are all hallmarks of the use of ETFE material in modern architecture.
