OMG Thermoforming machines

OMG thermoforming machines are able to transform thermoplastic materials, which are easily available on the market and can be found in coils or in sheets.

When the finished product does not need a significant thickness, working from coils is the ideal one: food tubs, dishes and glasses, containers, blister items, display units...

If the determining factor of the thermoformed product is solidity, it is important to work raw material in sheets: automotive components (dashboards, grilles, roof-racks...), fancy goods, furniture, pallets...

In the production chain, thermoforming machines are as important as packaging lines and recycling. OMG offers a wide range of punching machines, profiling machines, cutting robots, skin blister, skin pack and grinders.

AS serie

The AS serie is a thermoforming machine using thermoplastic sheets to produce thermoforming parts. It can be manually fed or automatically using an optional system to load thermoplastic sheets and unload thermoformed parts. An optional preheating oven can be added to increase production cycle. Movements can be activated by a pneumatic, hydraulic or servo motor systems.

The features

Manual sheet feeding or optional automatic sheet feeder that can take sheet from storage or on a pallet if needed..
Manual product unloading or optional automatic product unloader that unload thermoformed product on one side of the machine (can be determine by customer).
Heating done by single or optional double heating platen. Heaters are made out of ceramic and are design for energy saving. Zones are controlled individually for a better heating process.
Heater pyrometrics reading sensor both for heating temperatures and/or for cooling fan controls.
Mold platen movements activated by pneumatic, hydraulic or servomotors system.
Web clamping movements activated by pneumatic, hydraulic or with servomotor systems.
Plug assist movements activated by pneumatic, hydraulic or with servomotor systems.
Servovalves to control vacuum, release, bellow, or sheet support during the heating phase.
Material cooling is provided by high speed cooling fans with an optional spray system to increase the thermoformed part cooling speed.
Optional preheating ovens to speed up the cycle.
All adjustments are made from the touch screen for easier and faster parameter changes.
Color touch screen to make parameter adjustments and supervise the thermoforming process.
Recipe memory system to do faster tool changeover Recall or save parameters in a matter of a few seconds.

AC models

Mix solution for sheet and roll: AC models

The AC is a universal thermoforming machine made to work in automatic cycle, for up draw and down draw mode with roll feeding. Also, it is having the versatility to work with thermoplastic sheet in manual cycle.

Built with an oversize steel welded structure, the AC series are having unique technical patented solutions to optimize with roll thickness of 3mm and sheet thickness up to 7 mm in automatic cycle.

OMG was born in Turin, the Italian technological pole for machining, in the second half of the 60s. The activity, being strongly innovation-oriented thanks to its founder’s technical background, rapidly grows and, in 1973, it moves to the current wide plants in Givoletto, nearby the urban area of Turin.
