MacroPower MC - multifunctional, compact, efficient
Based on the MacroPower model with 2-platen technology, the MacroPower multi-component series comes with a wide range of options and an extensive choice of different combinations, thus offering the right package for every multi-component technology. In this way the machine, mold and automation technologies can be optimally adapted to each individual product. The WITTMANN BATTENFELD know-how covers all process variants, such as multi-color, 2-component, assembly, multi-component and sandwich injection molding.
The MacroPower MC is available in the clamping force range from 400 to 2000 t. It offers a choice of V, S and L configurations as standard. Special configurations, such as the Y, B or H-H configuration, are available upon request.
The MicroPower 15/10H/10H is the first two-component machine of the all-electric MicroPower series designed for injection molding of small and micro parts.
This 15-ton machine, equipped with two horizontal injection units and a rotary disk, can be used for either single-component or two component injection molding. This makes it possible to mold parts in different colors and/or made of different materials and/or produce tow different parts simultaneously in one cycle, with two ejectors handling parallel ejection of the prats in the latter case. When using the machine for multi-component injection molding, the integrated rotary table takes care of transporting the parts to the second injection unit and back.
Insertion and insert molding of parts can also be realized very comfortably with the COMBIMOULD version of the MicroPower. In addition to injection molding of parts from different thermoplastic materials and/or in different colors, the MicroPower multi-component machine also lends itself to liquid silicone injection molding or metal/ceramic powder injection molding.
The machines of the servo-hydraulic SmartPower series can be supplied as a multi-component version with clamping forces ranging from 600 to 3500 kN. The new SmartPower COMBIMOULD makes multi-color, composite, assembly and multi-component injection molding comfortable, and that with minimal energy consumption.
The machines of the SmartPower series stand out by their energy-saving servo drive technology as standard equipment. Every single injection unit of the SmartPower COMBIMOULD comes with its own servo-hydraulic drive. The result are extreme energy efficiency and a separate, parallel operation of all injection aggregates. The compact drive units of the SmartPower COMBIMOULD are integrated in the machine frame, which means that the footprint of the multi-component version is just as compact as that of the standard SmartPower. The dimensions of the machines control cabinet could also be left unchanged. The enlarged distances between tie-bars of the servo-hydraulic SmartPower provide space for the installation of relatively large rotary units and large molds. This particular feature makes the SmartPower an optimal choice for multi-component applications.
The modularity and flexibility of the SmartPower COMBIMOULD is equal in every respect to its predecessor machine series. This means that the aggregates are available in V, S or L configuration as standard. Special configurations such as the H-H configuration are also possible.
The rotary table machines from WITTMANN BATTENFELD are available in the clamping force range from 40 to 270 t with rotary tables ranging from 752 mm to 1,755 mm in diameter. Safety of parts insertion and removal area is ensured by means of light curtains. The proven three tie bar technology of these machines allows an open design in all directions, providing ideal conditions for automation and integration in complete production cells. The slim design of the injection units and the free space on the rotating table allows easy realization of two and three-color applications.
The machines flexible drive concept is based either on two electric variable capacity pumps or on separate servo-electric drives on each axis. Time-saving parallel movements permit short cycle times with maximum precision. The servo-electric rotary table drive, now in widespread use, ensures the maximum speed of rotation with adjustable acceleration ramps, so that insert parts remain safely in position.

MicroPower - precise, efficient, flexible
The MicroPower, the smallest machine series in the PowerSeries, with clamping forces of 5 and 15 t, is an all-electric injection molding machine model for high-precision and micro injection molding.
In this machine generation, the injection aggregate is of special interest. This innovative two-step injection unit, consisting of a screw and a plunger, with a shot volume ranging from 0.05 to 4 cm³, injects thermally homogeneous melt, with the result of premium-quality parts from absolutely stable production with short cycle times. With this technology, WITTMANN BATTENFELD has a unique selling point compared to other standard machinery that has simply been adapted for micro injection molding. The intelligent machine concept enables shortest cycle times and savings of often very expensive plastics materials for precision injection molding.
The modular machine system consists of a basic platform that can be extended according to customers needs with a rotary disk, parts removal handling, quality monitoring and a clean-room module, extendable up to a complete production cell.

SmartPower - generous, compact, efficient
The SmartPower, the servo-hydraulic machine of the PowerSeries in the clamping force range from 25 to 350 t is characterized by a generous mold mounting area, a compact design, highest energy efficiency and user-friendliness.
A feature of special interest in the new SmartPower is its drive system. The machine is equipped with a new, highly energy-efficient servo-hydraulic drive system as standard, which also recommends itself by small dimensions and a low sound level. Moreover, the servo-hydraulic SmartPower comes with the same amplifier system as the all-electric EcoPower. This drive technology makes it possible to use the KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) developed for the EcoPower in the SmartPower as well. KERS transforms the kinetic energy released by deceleration into electrical energy. The electrical energy recovered in this way is partly stored, used by other drive systems for parallel movements, transferred to barrel heating or used to generate the voltage for the control system. This means that the entire deceleration energy is used within the machine.
The SmartPower is equipped with a simple, central hydraulic clamping system. In this machine, the hydraulic blocks are integrated in the clamping side, which makes for extremely high control accuracy as well as dynamic movements. Two symmetrically positioned traveling cylinders provide force transmission with optimal mold protection. The simultaneous significant increase in traveling speed ensures short dry cycle times.

EcoPower - compact, clean, energy-efficient
The EcoPower, the all-electric machine of the PowerSerie within the clamping force range of 55 – 300 t, is characterized by a compact design, best energy efficiency, cleanness and an easy handling.
The braking energy of the drives, normally returned to the power supply network by an elaborate process, is completely utilized by the EcoPower within the machine to provide the necessary voltage for the control system and for barrel heating. This makes these machines extremely energy-efficient.
Another advantage of the EcoPower is its user-friendly design. In developing this machine series, special emphasis was placed on the footprint and compact integration. The WITTMANN tempering devices of the TEMPRO plus D series can be integrated directly in the machine frame, which means a considerable reduction of space requirements and occupancy costs.
An additional user-friendly innovation by WITTMANN BATTENFELD is the facility for including a servo-hydraulic system for the ejector, core pull and nozzle contact pressure build-up as standard. This is a very special advantage for customers operating molds with hydraulic core pulls.

MacroPower - compact, precise, fast
The MacroPower, at present available in the clamping force range from 400 to 1600 tons stands for shortest footprint, speed, modularity, ultimate precision and cleanliness. The MacroPower reaches its high speed by means of fast movements and minimal locking and high-pressure build-up times, achieved by the innovative locking system QuickLock, developed by WITTMANN BATTENFELD. A special highlight of this new machine generation is the ease with which molds are inserted from the rear of the machine. An extended safety gate stroke at the rear, combined with tie bars kept at below-average length, thanks to the locking system that has been integrated in the moving platen, allows insertion of bulky molds in most cases without a tie bar pulling device due to the free space between the end of the tie bars and the moving platen.
WITTMANN BATTENFELD offers the MacroPower also as an energy-optimized version with a speed-controlled servo motor. This concept is based on a highly dynamic servo motor instead of a three-phase motor with constant speed. As hydraulic pumps, electrically adjustable axial piston pumps with a variable displace-ment volume are used. In this system, the delivery is regulated via the motor speed and the pivoting angle of the hydraulic pump. This enables energy savings of up to 35% compared to conventional drives.
