Welcome to the first industrial design focused micro-site for the K Show.

"This marks the collaboration that I started with K team in 2010 with the aim of bringing more awareness to designers of this mega-show that brings everything designers ever need to know about plastics together in one roof -or more precisely 18 roofs.

Since my first visit in 2003 it has struck me that it is an event that if you only attended for three days it would provide more information that you would gather in six months of desk research.

During the build up to K 2025 we will be populating the site with features on what is certainly one of the hottest topics of the age: plastics.

We will be posting interviews with leaders across medical, automotive, consumer electronics and sports on the use of materials and plastics in their work and industries."

Highlights among the most important plastic innovations for designers

Chris Lefteri will be repeating his successful design focused tours at this years K 2025. K is the most important plastics fair in the world but with around 3,000 exhibitors it can be a daunting place to scout the best innovations. Join renowned author and materials design expert Chris Lefteri on his tour of exhibitors for emerging materials, processes and technologies that he believes will define future trends.

Chris will explain why he thinks his selection is relevent from a design point of view and how he approaches materials scouting to build ecological, emotional, sensorial and functional values from plastics.

Chris Lefteri is an internationally recognised authority on materials and design.
His eight books on materials and manufacturing — translated into six languages — have transformed how designers around the world approach and value materials.
