Günter Schwank Prize 2026: Spotlight on the emerging young industry talent

The pro-K industry dialogue in Frankfurt focused on the future of the plastics industry: representatives from industry, trade associations, and the media discussed climate neutrality, competitiveness, and the transformation of Germany as an industrial hub. They agreed that this transformation requires a reliable political framework and the close involvement of businesses in regulatory processes.

Following this, the ten top graduates of the vocational training programme for plastics and rubber technologists were awarded the 2026 Günter Schwank Prize. "Today’s prize-winners impressively demonstrate the potential inherent in vocational training and the future opportunities it offers," said GKV President Dr. Helen Fürst.

The award winners come from a wide variety of sectors, ranging from the packaging and automotive industries to the aerospace sector.
