Wittmann Battenfeld Inc. is taking steps to ensure the younger generation is well aware of job opportunities that are available in the manufacturing sector. The latest example of that was on Nov. 8 when the company hosted an open house and future careers event at its U.S. headquarters in Torrington, CT. More than 200 guests showed up at the event, which the company says "greatly exceeding expectations and creating an even more rewarding experience for the attendees."
Guests heard from Wittmann Battenfeld's President David Preusse about the background of the company, as well as some information about Wittmann Battenfeld's products and plastics manufacturing process in general. Various other employees discussed their segments of the company, their careers and the opportunities that exist to work in robotics and plastics technology. In addition, there were live demonstrations of Wittmann Battenfeld machinery and equipment in action.
