Düsseldorf/Bad Homburg, 26 October 2016. For the German plastics processors the global No.1 trade fair of the plastics industry - K 2016 from 19 to 26 October 2016 in Düsseldorf - went very well. This is announced by GKV, the German Association of Plastics Converters.
The exhibiting plastics processors presented products from the segments semi-finished products, technical parts and fibre-reinforced composites. The German plastics processors were highly satisfied with the strong visitor attendance at K 2016. Companies’ expectations in terms of footfall and the international origin of visitors were clearly exceeded in many cases. Especially the high number of trade visitors is praised by the exhibiting plastics processors. Exhibitors feel that they have succeeded in both liaising with existing customers from the most important customer industries and developing new contacts. “For German plastics processors a very good K is drawing to a close now,” says Dr. Oliver Möllenstädt, Executive Director at GKV.
The GKV Association was again in charge of the plastics training initiative (KAI) at K. As part of KAI associations and enterprises present a programme that selectively targets college and university students as well as trainees. “KAI again proved a great success and has also contributed to making the trade fair even more attractive for young people. The high number of young trade fair visitors at K 2016 shows that our industry has sharpened its profile as an industry of the future and attractive employer,” adds GKV Executive Director Möllenstädt.
