Austrian group Hirsch Servo (Glanegg; www.hirsch-gruppe.com) has incorporated EPS producer IsoBouw (Abstatt / Germany; www.isobouw.de), which it acquired in mid-2018, into its Hirsch Porozell unit. We view this step as another simplification and improvement of processes as well as a strengthening of our customer orientation, says Christian Grimm, managing director of Hirsch Porozell. The previously consistent development and implementation of synergies between both companies in the areas of sales, R&D, purchasing and production including the standardisation of information technology formed a solid basis.

Hirsch Porozell produces EPS insulation in Germany at its six sites in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, Ebrach, Grombach, Abstatt, Bad Waldsee and Micheln. The latter three were added with the acquisition of IsoBouw, together with a fourth one in Wadersloh-Liesborn that has been sold to German competitor Bachl in the meantime.

The Austrian parent company also recently announced the acquisition of six plants in France with its partner BEWiSynbra (Solna / Sweden; www.bewisynbra.com) as well as 49.9% of Isossol (Monts / France; www.isossol-isolation.fr). The transactions are expected to be completed by the end of 2019 see Plasteurope.com of 20.11.2019. The group now has 26 production sites in Europe with a workforce of 1,500.
