BP Plastics to boost production with new stretch film machine


BP Plastics Holdings Bhd (BPP), one of the largest polyethylene film manufacturers in Asia, is increasing plastics operations at its plant in Batu Pahat, Malaysia, in order to boost exports. The Johor-based company invested $3.12 million in a new cast stretch film machine from Austria, amid ringgit turmoil and the unstable climate, reported StarBiz.

According to Group Managing Director Lim Chun Yow, the company's export sales are expected to grow to 80% of total revenue for the financial year 2015, from 78% recorded last year.
