Israeli masterbatch producer and compounder Kafrit Industries (Negev;
www.kafrit.com) has announced the acquisition of Canadas Absa Resin Technologies (Cambridge, Ontario). Financial details were not disclosed.
The takeover adds to Kafrits North American business, which includes Polyfil USA and Kafrit NA (previously Constab Additive Polymers).

Kafrit did not provide information on the existing capacity at Absas headquarters site in Cambridge.
The Israeli compounding groups portfolio includes colour and additive concentrates, and the company boasts a combined capacity of around 140,000 t/y. Kafrit employs a staff of 550 and most recently reported turnover of some EUR 270 mn.
