Bericap is expanding its international presence through the acquisition of the Irish company Embankment Plastics. With this move, the manufacturer of plastic and aluminium closures is establishing its 31st company in its 26th country.

Embankment Plastics is based near Dublin and was founded in 1977. The company remains privately owned to this day. It produces closures for dairy products, food, and technical applications.

With the acquisition, Bericap is strengthening its activities in the Irish market. Embankment Plastics is intended to serve as a starting point for the further expansion of business in Ireland. The plan is to combine Bericap's existing portfolio of plastic and aluminium closures with local market opportunities. The focus will be on applications for the beverage, food, spirits, and chemical industries.

In the future, the company will operate under the name Bericap Ireland as a subsidiary of Bericap UK. This is intended to enable the use of shared resources while maintaining local management. In the short term, business operations will initially continue under the existing name Embankment Plastics.
