K Trade Fair 2025: Klepsch Group and Senoplast present new surfaces and sustainable innovations

Under the motto "Turning your product ideas into solutions," the Klepsch Group will be presenting its product range for the first time at the K Trade Fair in Düsseldorf (October 8–15) at booth F09 in hall 8A. The trade fair presentation will provide insight into the strengths of Senoplast, Zell Materials, and Seletec as application-oriented solution providers with clear specializations. New products include senosan VP APA materials made from ABS/PA blends, senosan TEXTILE LOOK with a super-matt finish, and innovative safety battery covers for electric vehicles. "With our joint appearance as the Klepsch Group, we want to strengthen our visibility as a brand family and showcase the diverse range of services offered by the companies involved in the plastics sector. The aim is to drive forward innovative developments, identify new business opportunities, and expand our position in the international market," says Günter Klepsch, CEO of Senoplast Klepsch & Co. GmbH.

Senosan TEXTILE LOOK: Design meets function

The new super-matt surface senosan TEXTILE LOOK is an innovative ABS surface that combines the advantages of a high-quality multi-layer composite with the elegant look and feel of textiles. Modified super-matt top layers ensure a velvety-soft appearance that not only looks good but also feels pleasant to the touch. senosan TEXTILE LOOK is functional, robust, and at the same time a real design statement – ideal for applications where elegant aesthetics and high resistance are required. The innovative surface has excellent thermoforming properties and good mechanical properties for everyday use. It is 100 percent recyclable and therefore particularly sustainable and resource-efficient. Possible areas of application include interior trim parts in motorhomes and caravans, the interiors of passenger cars and commercial vehicles, and design-oriented interior solutions where appearance, feel, and formability are crucial. senosan TEXTILE LOOK is available in thicknesses of 2–5 mm and widths of up to 1,650 mm.

New ABS/PA blends: senosan VP APA 50

Another innovation presented by the Klepsch Group is senosan VP APA50 – an extruded, thermoformable sheet made from ABS/PA blends. These sheets offer an ideal combination of technical performance and design flexibility. Combining the impact strength and heat resistance of polyamide with the good formability, processability, and surface quality of ABS results in materials that are particularly suitable for applications with high demands on resilience and appearance.

The sheets are characterized by high dimensional stability, excellent chemical resistance, and a pleasant feel. At the same time, they can be precisely thermoformed, mechanically processed, printed, or painted. This opens up a wide range of possibilities for functional and decorative applications, for example as partition walls, in housing covers, or as bumpers. The senosan APA 50 version has a semi-matt surface and is available in thicknesses of 3–6 mm and widths of 250–1,650 mm in black (other colors available on request).

Innovative battery covers for electric vehicles

Together with renowned partners from the fields of raw material development, machine technology, and thermoforming, Senoplast is developing innovative battery covers for electric vehicles. To this end, Senoplast extrudes sheets from raw materials specially developed for this purpose. These are formed on a special machine and reinforced with organic sheets. As an example of the application of this joint development, Senoplast is presenting a demonstrator of an innovative battery cover for electric vehicles at the K trade fair. This is designed to protect vehicle occupants in the event of a fire explosion of the battery cells ("thermal runaway").

Focus on quality, innovation, and sustainability

In addition to its new products, the Klepsch Group will be providing information about its commitment to the circular economy, bioplastics, energy management, and recycling along the entire value chain. The focus is on products and solutions for CO₂ reduction, resource conservation, and product recyclability. In addition to the senosan ECO furniture films already available, which are largely made from recycled plastic, Senoplast offers the PET product line as an environmentally friendly rPET variant. In addition, bioplastics under the senosan ECO-B brand complement the sustainable product range. The aim is to use renewable raw materials at the beginning of the production chain as a substitute for fossil raw materials.
