The www.ags-shop.de platform offers eight different gripper construction kits that have been developed from the practical requirements of numerous projects. With every gripping project, the first question is: Which material should be handled? Whether plastic, cardboard, sheet metal, foam, textiles, glass or even food - there is a suitable gripping solution for every material.

Once the material has been determined, the next question is the type of gripping.

Here are a few examples:

• Smooth surfaces can be handled with vacuum cups.
• Gripper fingers are used for large demolding forces.
• Ferromagnetic components require magnetic grippers.
• Centric gripping processes are solved with parallel grippers.
• Inner bellows grippers are suitable for gripping in bores.
• Flexible components can be fixed with needle grippers.
• The contours of components are detected using sensors or cameras.

The corresponding components are available in the gripper kits for all these different tasks.

Individual design of the gripper

Once the basic questions have been answered, the next challenge arises: how should the gripper be designed?

Various requirements can be taken into account here, such as

• Little space required: small profiles with 10x10 mm.
• Low weight: Carbon round tubes or 8-corner tubes.
• Aluminum profiles: With sliding blocks, PreciGrip or round tube.
• Robustness: Euro gripper profile for particularly stable constructions.

The variety of gripper construction kits offers an enormous selection to solve almost any gripping problem.

The aim of the platform is clear: the user should be able to solve their gripping problem independently using standard components. However, if this is not enough, the AGS team is always ready to develop and manufacture customized gripping solutions.
