A company out of Cincinnati claims it is the first to develop and market configurable digital transducers, with owners of injection molding machines one of the most important groups of customer for the company. In comparison to analog ones, these digital transducers are said to improve accuracy and reliability, and reduce power consumption.

The developer and marketer of these digital transducers, Transducers Direct (Cincinnati, OH), says its TD1000/1004 Series Transducers can be a direct replacement for any currently used analog unit, but use time-to-digital technology to enable the above cited improvements.
