R&D Plastics, a custom injection molder and contract manufacturer in Hillsboro, OR, announced the addition of two all-electric molding machines, "just in time for the newly approved Section 179 deductions," said the company. With the addition of these new machines, R&D Plastics now has 17 machines ranging from 40 to 720 tons.
One of the new machines is the company's second all-electric, 220-ton SE-HDZ from Sumitomo (SHI) Demag. The other is a 130-ton SE-EV series machine, also from Sumitomo (SHI) Demag. The SE-EV all-electric injection molding machines "redefine precision, energy efficiency and molding stability with a variety of innovative features supplied as standard," said R&D.
