Plastics extrusion: Amut sells minority stake to investment fund


Plastics extruder machinery manufacturer Amut has sold a minority share in its business to Fondo Italiano di Investimento, with the Italian financier fund investing €10 million in the in Novara, Italy based firm.

Amut manufactures machinery for thermoplastics extrusion, recycling, and thermoforming. The company was founded by the Milani brothers in 1958, and today employs some 165 and generates yearly revenues of approximately €47 million, with 84% of that from export sales. Its extruders typically see use in processing of profiles, pipe and sheet, with the thermoformers available as in- and off-line systems for processors of packaging.
