PU China 2010 preview: Milliken Chemical (Shanghai)

Liquitint colourants were developed to provide non-staining colours for fabric care products, such as liquid dishwashing detergents and soap bars. Palmer and other creative polymeric colourants are used in children's markers and finger paints. Today, Reactint colour additives are polymeric colourants which are non-particulate liquid colour concentrates which can be added to the polyol side of a PU system or injected at the mix head of a polyurethane slabstock foam line to create a wide range of colour for urethane applications.
At PU China, Milliken Chemical will present its latest polymeric colour offering, ViviTint colourants, based on technology where colour chromophores are chemically bound to various types of macromolecular chains. ViviTint colourant products are high molecular weight compounds chosen for their compatibility with the resins and solvents typically used in the production of synthetic leather.
A technical article on ViviTint as well as the full PU China 2010 preview can be found in the current issue of PU Magazine 02|2010.
