Over 1 million page views and more than 213,000 visits

This sounds like a new record: www.k-online.de registered well over 1 million page views (1,038,891) and 213,973 visits in the course of last year. There are thus already clear signs that K 2007’s outstanding online tally will be surpassed this year. This achievement is undoubtedly aided by the numerous useful tools available at www.k-online.de. Exhibiting companies, for example, can now handle their entire trade fair preparations via www.k-online.de. Everything to do with trade fair participation – choice of stand design, stand equipment, security and logistics – can be booked online. All these tools are available in German and English, and there are information pages for exhibitors, visitors and journalists in French, Italian and Spanish as well. On top of this, regular newsletters from Messe Düsseldorf keep companies and potential visitors up-to-date on the latest developments in connection with K 2010. Petra Cullmann, Director K 2010: “We’re glad to have seen the signs of the times early on, i.e. almost ten years ago, and to have steadily extended our K trade fair portal. Today we’re reaping the benefits of this know-how.”

And visitors can also save money with www.k-online.de, because as of March the reduced online ticket will again be available on the K website – and at 2007 prices. Visitors can thus save six euros per ticket when they purchase the day ticket via the Internet – the online price is 49 euros instead of 55 euros over the counter. The 3-day ticket is available online for only 108 euros, i.e. 12 euros less than at the gates in Düsseldorf (120 euros). To order tickets, simply click on the “Online Ticketing” link and enter the desired number and type of tickets. And your way is then clear to visit K 2010. The admission tickets serve additionally as return tickets for the buses, trams and trains belonging to the Rhine-Ruhr (VRR) and Rhine-Sieg (VRS) integrated public transport systems.

Eight months before the start of K (27th October to 3rd November 2010), the No. 1 for Plastics and Rubber, the world is already echoing to the words “It’s K time!” Preparations both at Messe Düsseldorf and in industry are well underway. Taking part again, of course, will be the global players of the sector, while start-up companies will also be using K 2010 as a platform for their products on the international market. Overall, Messe Dusseldorf is expecting about 3,000 exhibitors, who will be distributed throughout all 19 halls of the Düsseldorf exhibition grounds. In the run-up to the fair, many of them are already making use of the information channels to their customers provided by www.k-online.de and presenting their companies in the portal’s online showrooms.

Just recently activated is the mobile K information system http://mobile.k-online.de. Developed for mobile phones, smartphones and PDAs, it presents the functions of the trade fair portal in a format optimized for mobile devices. This way, visitors have K with them at all times and can plan their trade fair visit faster and in accordance with their own needs. An animated demo version can be viewed at www.k-online.de.
