Names in the News: Auinger to Engel, Witherup to politics, Solegear, NYCO, and more


Moving around the industry, there is plenty to report on the personnel front. There is a new boss at Engel's operation in Mexico, a new county commissioner in Pennsylvania who knows plenty about plastics, and a new leader for Europe's PVC window profile processors. Injection molding machine manufacturer Engel has appointed a new managing director for its operation in Mexico. Peter Auinger joins the company, replacing Alberto Meade, who has left Engel. Auinger took up his position as managing director of Engel Mexico on Feb.1. In October 2010, Engel opened a new sales and service center in Queretaro, Mexico. Auinger was director of thermoforming machine manufacturer Kiefel until March 2009,when he left that company. His injection molding machinery experience includes time spent in senior sales and marketing positions at Battenfeld (now Wittmann Battenfeld) and Ferromatik Milacron....
