Medical Musings: Catheters have come a long way, baby


More than 12 million tourists from around the world visit Boston every year. There's the Freedom Trail, the U.S.S. Constitution, Fenway Park, Quincy Market, and, as of last April, the Paul S. Russell Museum of Medical History and Innovation.

Massachusetts General Hospital launched the museum to allow public viewing of many of the historical artifacts in its deepest closets and also, of course, to pay homage to its role in the development of medical care since its founding in 1811.
