Injection molding, a scientific approach

When the tool closes, what happens inside the injection molding machine and the cavity can seem an utter mystery, with the creation of good parts falling to luck or some kind of dark art. But what if magic could be traded for science, and robust processes could be developed that would be transferrable from machine to machine and plant to plant?

In his next Injection Molding Expert webcast series, A Scientific Approach to Developing the Molding Process, Mike Sepe hopes to help attendees adopt a scientific approach to developing a molding process. "If you ask most process technicians how they arrived at the process conditions on their set-up sheet, they cannot tell you," Sepe notes.
