INDONESIA: Chandra Asri secures USD265-million loan to fund naphtha cracker increase

Chandra Asri said the expansion, on which work has started this quarter, will increase ethylene capacity to 860,000 t/y from 600,000 t/y. It will also boost propylene capacity to 470,000 t/y from 320,000 t/y, pyrolysis gasoline to 400,000 t/y from 280,000 t/y and mixed C4 capacity to 315,000 t/y from 220,000 t/y. Commercial production is expected at the end of 2015.

The loan agreement was signed with Bangkok Bank, the Siam Commercial Bank, Indonesia Eximbank, DBS Bank and Deutsche Bank.
