EGYPT: Toyo JV wins Egyptian ethylene project as part of Ethydco's new PC complex

The contract, valued at approximately $600-million, is for a 460,000-t/y ethylene plant based on Lummus Technology's most advanced ethylene technology, as well as a 20,000-t/y butadiene extraction unit.  Production is scheduled to begin in early 2015.

Toyo will lead the entire project execution, undertaking project management, basic engineering, a portion of detailed engineering and procurement of key equipment.

ENPPI will be responsible for joint project management, detailed engineering and procurement of other equipment and materials.  

Both Toyo and ENPPI, in collaboration with Egyptian subcontractor Petrojet, will carry out con-
struction and commissioning.
