Charlie Crew will retire SABIC Innovative Plastics effective Jan. 1 after more than 34 years with the company and its forerunners, starting with the former GE Plastics in 1977. He will be replaced as executive vice president in the Americas region by Keith J. Smith, formerly of DuPont.
After graduating with a bachelor's degree in marketing from Villanova University, Crew joined joined GE Plastics in 1977 as an account manager. In 1994 he was named vice president and general manager of Americas' Commercial Operations for GE Plastics.
He then moved to the Netherlands to lead GE Plastics' European business and later returned to the U.S. as president and chief executive officer of LNP Engineering Plastics when GE acquired that business....
