Seminar on September 25th, 2013 at the SKZ Weiterbildungs-Zentrum Peine, Germany
Maisach, 10 September 2013 – The cleaning of cylinders and tools used in the thermoplastic processing industry is still often regarded as a secondary problem. Entrenched methods when cleaning machines or lack of knowledge on the part of the operating personnel however impede an efficient and fast cleaning of the components. This in turn can lead to high scrap rates, especially in the case of frequent changes of colors or materials. In view of the continually increasing utilization of machines which leaves less and less time for maintenance, the efficiency of the cleaning processes is therefore more important than ever.
The Chem-Trend seminar on the subject of „Cleaning of tools and cylinders for thermoplastic processing applications“, part of an SKZ Peine event of the same title, addresses professional users who work in tooling technology. The aim of the event is to bring manufacturers and users together and to find practical solutions for existing challenges. Amongst others, the seminar deals with the matter of purging compounds available for different processes today, the increase of the service lives of machine components due to lubrication and conservation of tools, the potential savings of costs and time through the targeted use of purging compounds as well as concrete experiences from development and application.
The seminar will be presented by Thomas Galle, Head of Development Thermoplastic at Chem-Trend, who has many years of practical experience in working with users in the thermoplastic processing industry. In order to ensure the most effective exchange of information and experience, the number of seminar participants is limited.
