Brandenburg has developed into a major hub for the European chemistry and synthetics industries. With around 400 companies, 11,600 employees and a turnover of more than €3 billion in the 2011 fiscal year, this cluster is a solid pillar of the region’s industrial landscape and belongs to one of the ten most important growth and export sectors. The cluster management is run by the ZukunftsAgentur Brandenburg (ZAB). Hardly any other economic sector in Brandenburg enjoys such close ties with other industries. The range of products stretches from high-quality car paint that is used all over the world to innovative machine parts and system components for the aerospace industry.
