In light of these developments, Fontijne Presses is proud to announce the introduction of 2 new features:
Common rail cooling: traditional cooling systems used in laboratory presses are based on 1 cooling channel, spiraling through the platen. The Common Rail cooling system has lineair positioned, stainless steel tubes, equally spaced over the platen surface. These tubes are executed with tiny holes. As the cooling water enters the tubes, the heat of the platen will cause the cooling water to evaporate, making the system work as a nebulator inside the platen. As the water mist is equally spread over the entire surface of the platen, temperature distribution during the cooling cycle is guaranteed.
Copper press platens for high temperatures: These special copper alloy press platens are built up in a sandwich configuration, making them withstand higher temperatures up to 450°C, while maintaining the big advantage of high temperature accuracy, due to the good temperature conductivity.
Other Options LabPro series: High Temperature press, up to 450 degrees °C - Rapid cooling press with cassette cooling - Steam Heating press - Vacuum press - Multi daylight press.
Fontijne Presses designs and builds hydraulic laboratory Platen Presses for the polymer processing, rubber, and composites industry. The presses are utilized as sample preparation equipment and small production processes for: Quality control, Research and Materials development.
The presses can be equipped with a simple operating system enabling a time based programming of pressforce and temperature, up to a programmable control with full data logging, and real time trending.

Design elements: - The press frame provides an ergonomic mode of operation because of the 2 columns press frame. - The Press Platens are equipped with electrical cartridge heating elements and cooling channels, which make it possible to heat-up and cool down the product. - The newly designed platens guarantees an accurate temperature distribution over the platen surface. - The hydraulic unit with dual integrated pumps ensure fast closing and accurate pressing and adjust the pressure automatically to maintain a stable press force.
