The cluster New Materials managed by Bayern Innovativ GmbH is the Bavaria-wide platform for information, communication and technology for new materials. Its objective is to promote the technology transfer spanning different materials and sectors and to identify technological issues based on demand and to tackle these issues by proactive network activities. Moreover, the cluster actively contributes to initiating technology-oriented joint projects with regional value creation.
The cluster focuses its activities on seven fields, including metallic lightweight construction materials, fibre composites, plastics and glass. Cluster meetings on specific subjects are organised at companies and institutes bringing together experts and potential customers. Cluster circles and expert panels regularly meet to discuss special issues, thus concentrating topics down to the project level and supporting partners in their market-oriented project work.
The cluster comprises about 400 companies and research institutes. www.cluster-neuewerkstoffe.de
