These two component materials are mostly used in a 1 to 1 ratio and consist of polysiloxane polymers or copolymers which are vulcanized by polyaddition. Liquid silicon rubber is easier mixed than other rubbers. LSR by Dow Corning is fully compounded and ready to process. Furthermore Liquid Silicon Rubber could be easily pigmented. The automated injection molding process is similar to thermoplastic injection molding.
