Vertellus manufactures and markets functional additives and monomers for a wide range of applications for the plastics and polymers industry. At the K-2016 show, we will be exhibiting products which enhance the attributes of a variety of high performance polymers, including specialty PVC and engineering plastics for numerous demanding customer applications. Vertellus products, which provide technically feasible, economically viable, and environmentally sound solutions for customers’ products, include: ZeMac® copolymers, which are additives used in plastics compounding to enhance the performance of both recycled and prime engineering plastics such as polyamides, PBT, TPU, POM, PC, PC/ABS, and PET. ZeMac is also used as an additive in sizing emulsions to enhance the performance of glass fiber in polyamide, polyesters and epoxies. Citroflex® citric acid-based esters offer a broad range of benefits when used as plasticizers, solvent alternatives, lubricant additives and performance enhancers in aqueous and solvent-based polymer formulations. Citroflex® esters are based on natural citric acid raw material, which is mainly derived from the fermentation of corn. The esters have a long history of use in food and beverage flavoring and in medical and pharmaceutical applications. Topanol® CA-SF (Topanol is registered trademark used under license) is a unique hindered phenol antioxidant used in high temperature PVC automotive wire applications with styrenics, polyamides and other polymer compounds. DCDPS is a monomer used for polymerization of polysulfone homopolymers and copolymers. High performance sulfones are categorized by high transparency and high temperature performance. Sulfones are used as replacements for metals and glass in a wide range of medical, automotive, aerospace and consumer products. Morflex® plasticizers, offering a broad range of products including Dibutyl and Dimethyl Sebacates, Dimethyl Adipate, Morflex® 530 (Tri-isodecyl Trimellitate), Morflex® 540 (Tributyl Trimellitate), and Morflex® 560 (Trihexyl Trimellitate).
