Reifenhäuser REICOFIL, based in Troisdorf, Germany, is the leading global supplier of spunbond, meltblown and composite lines on which nonwovens are produced for applications in hygiene, medicine, agriculture and industry. The REICOFIL® technology is the most energy efficient and economical method to produce a nonwoven fabric from a polymer in a single step. By now about 250 REICOFIL lines have been installed and commissioned at customers worldwide. The export accounts for over 80 percent of the total turnover.
Beyond technology, REICOFIL advises customers in energy optimisation, product properties and applications, as well as in finding the optimal design of their production facilities to make the start a complete success. The company’s competence in project management ensures that assembly, commissioning, acceptance and production handover are always traceable and binding in terms of time.
At the headquarter in Troisdorf, REICOFIL operates an own Nonwovens Technology Center to offer the industry research and development opportunities that are unique throughout the world. Customers, suppliers and raw material producers can test new products on three lines under production-related conditions without having to interrupt their own production processes.
As a member of the Reifenhäuser Group, REICOFIL is part of a strong extrusion network comprising six business units and about 1,200 employees. The parent company Reifenhäuser dates back to a blacksmith’s shop founded in 1911 by Anton Reifenhäuser. With the production of the first extruder in 1948 his sons Hans and Fritz Reifenhäuser developed the company into a technology driver for the emerging plastics industry. Today, Reifenhäuser is still owned by the family, managed by brothers Bernd, Klaus and Ulrich Reifenhäuser. In 2012 the company turnover was about 450 million euro.
