Customized Plasma Processes for Plastics and Rubber

ANTI-LIMESTONE AND UNFOULING: Plasmapps Ltd has successfully developed a plasma process able to prevent the adhesion of limestone, organic and inorganic substances on the surface of rubber, polymers and metals. Plasmapps Ltd can provide industry with inert, safe and stable surfaces that don’t allow the limestone and bio-film adhesion. The process is recommended for industrial field such us automotive, aeronautical, biomedical, hydraulic, industrial washing and many other applications in which the prevention of limestone or bio-film invalidate the right working of the industrial products.
Its the right choice for stopping and preventing the deposit of limestone or biofilm on materials in contact with fluids.
The materials become completely anti-limestone and unfouling without changing their bulk properties.

ANTIFOG TREATMENT: Plasmapps has developed a plasmochemical process for preventing the condensation of water on transparent glass or plastic surfaces used in optical applications. Anti-fog plasma treatments works by creating a super-hydrophilic surface. Therefore, small droplets of water spread on the surface by creating a thin film instead of fogging.

ACTIVATION, CLEANING: Plasmapps Ltd has successfully developed plasma processes for activating rubber (NBR, HNBR, EPDM, Silcone, Flurosilicone) and polymers (PET, PP, POM, PE, PTFE, FEP, FE, EVA, TPU). With Plasma activation it is possible to improve the surface properties of materials such as wettability, printing capability, dyeing, glueing and bonding. Suitable pre-treatment reduce the ageing process and ensures the stability of modified surfaces over the time.
Organic contaminants, silicones, oxides, biofilm or processing residues on the affect the ability of the materials to interact with other materials or to be used in biomedical and science life application. Surface modification for rubber

plasmafrict: This plasmochemical process reduces the surface tension of the material without changing its bulk properties and without adding any kind of coating onto it.  It is possible to finely tune the friction coefficient of materials to a desirable value. It's the right choice for reducing the friction coefficient of rubber and plastics recommended for dynamic application working in oil and in air.
