Our products

Product category: Extrusion lines for pipes and profiles

Haul-offs for rigid pipes, corrugated pipes and profiles

Wide range of haul-offs for various types of pipes (from diam. 16 to 1600 mm) and profiles.

Haul-offs TR with independent motorisation of each track, AC motors and vectorial inverters (the transmission pieces subject to wear have been removed, thus providing minimal maintenance and maximal reliability).

Haul-offs TC, with two rubber tracks, expressly shaped to obtain the largest contact surface with the pipe, for pipes of diam. from 10 to 125 mm.

Haul-offs TRC, multi-track haul-offs for corrugated pipe production lines of PVC, PE and PP pipes from diam. 63 mm to 1800 mm.

Our haul-offs are characterized by high power, safety, efficiency and functionality, and can be synchronized with any type of extruder.

Bending units CT (EXCLUSIVE PROJECT)

Automatic bending units for the processing of PVC pipes, of diameter from 16 to 250 mm, and length up to 2500 mm, in bends with socket ends (at one or both pipe ends), of variable bending radius and length.

If offers the possibility to realize bends with variable angles from 15° to 90°, also with smooth socket, or with no socket at all.

With these plants it is also possible to produce special pieces (like bayonets, double joints, etc.)

TECNOLOGY, ULTIMATE PRECISION, VERY HIGH PRODUCTION (up to 600 bends/hour).

Socketing machines for polypropylene pipes, BA/PP

Quick and versatile automatic socketing machines for polypropylene compact or multilayered pipes, which can socket 3 pipes at the same time for pipe diameters up to 50 mm, 2 pipes per cycle up to diameter 110 and only one pipe for diameters up to 200 mm.

These machines have been uprated employing new materials - which have strengthened the working order of their heating ovens - increasing the endurance of their gasket store and optimizing their hydraulic cycle paying particular attention to energy conservation.

Also the quality system has been increased equipping the machines with an innovative control process which verifies that the rubber gasket has been properly inserted in its seat, and discards possible inconsistent pipes without slowing down the normal functioning of the machines themselves.

In this upgraded version, also maintenance, usage and socketing tools change are easier and quicker.
IPM socketing machine for polypropylene pipes are high performing machines whose range has been recently enriched with three new models: BA 250/PP, BA 400/PP and BA 500/PP. They are all designed for pipe lengths 6.000 mm, but they respectively cover diameter ranges up to 250, 400 and 500 mm.

BA/INJ: in-line socketing machines for corrugated PP and PE

Automatic socketing machine working in extrusion line to form sockets by injection directly on corrugated double-walled pipes. What it is worth being stressed is the versatility of these machines, as they are able to socket both polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) pipes just by moulds' changing.

It is a new technology which is able to cope with the fastest extrusion lines for corrugated pipes now available on the market producing from 26 sockets/hour by pipe out diameter 500 mm up to 95 sockets/hour by pipe out diameter 110 mm. Production rejects are sensibly reduced, and sockets are characterized by the greatest reliability as well as by an absolute geometrical and dimensional stability in time even in presence of very high temperatures up to 70° C.

By now, 4 different models of such a machinery are available. They are all for pipes having big diameters and maximal length 6.000 mm (or 12.000 mm on request): BA 500/INJ for out diameters 110 - 500 mm, BA 680/INJ for out diameters 160 - 680 mm, BA 900/INJ for out diameters 200 - 900 mm and BA 1200/INJ for out diameters 315 - 1.200 mm. The socket is manufactured using the same polymer - that to say polyethylene or polypropylene - of which the pipe is made eliminating this way both possible shrinkages and the whole problems related to the so called "memory effect" by which traditional socketing systems of polyolefin are normally affected

Socketing machines “RS” type

Universal automatic socketing machines which besides the traditional socketing systems (by internal calibration, by blowing system and by mechanical calibration "ME") are able to form sockets by Rieber System ("RS") that to say socketing and inserting of a special unmovable rubber gaskets are made simultaneously.

Performances of these machines have been upgraded thanks to the employment of ovens with infrared short wave lamps to heat the pipes. These ovens are characterized by a high energetic efficiency, and they ensure a deeper penetration of the heating power in the whole pipe's wall-thickness to be heated allowing a dynamical and direct control of the material temperature with a consequent reduction both of heating times and power consumption. While the socket is formed, the socket is cooled by cool water nebulisation.

Proportional valves ensure instead rapidity and precise machine movements.

Extremely high output, security, efficiency and functionality.

Planetary saws TP, planetary saws for knife cut TPK

TP – Planetary saws for the cut, cut and chamfer or cut and double chamfer of PVC, PP, PE, ABS pipes from diam. 16 to 1600 mm; these saws can be installed in or off of the extrusion line.

Wide range of cutting tools, according to the characteristics of the material to be cut.

TPK – Planetary saws with knife for the cut of PE pipes of big diameter and wall thickness.

This kind of machine, very robust, is especially meant for big wall thickness pipes; it cuts the pipe without removal of material, therefore without producing nor dust, nor chips, nor noise. The surface of the cut pipe is then regular, smooth and clean on the whole pipe wall thickness, thus allowing a easier and faster welding of the pipe (elimination of the "facing" phase).

Handling and packaging plants, RMT

Automatic plants in extrusion line, for the automatic handling and packaging of pipes in suitable plastic saddles. It offers the possibility to select and manage pipe packaging according to their lengths, managing up to 3 or 4 different pipe lengths at the same time.

Flexible configuration of the pallets according to the various production needs.

The structural originality of these plants consists in being featured with many forming stations, and in being equipped with a suitable storage where the pipes can wait for being taken for the positioning, thus permitting the installation of these plants also in the fastest extrusion lines now available on the market.

These plants can be matched with RMC, robots for the handling and packaging of shorter pipes of min. 150 mm, max 500 mm length. They offer the possibility to automatically box the pipes, following a fixed scheme, also with the possibility to alternate socket ends.

It offers the possibility to manage automatically up to 1500 pipes/hour.

About us

Company details

IPM was founded in 1987 by Claudio Argnani, Bruno Barabani and Silvia Geminiani after they had worked together for an other company operating on the same sector for ten years.

The modern and functional IPM premises arise in Lugo (Ravenna), in an area of ca. 13.000 m² which is indoor for ca. 5.220 m².

The plants of which we make use both for the machinery's design and production are modern, highly technological as well as constantly updated and renewed.

The whole process – starting from the design up to the machinery's production – is effected directly in the company, in security for quality and for its being totally made in Italy.

IPM represents a firm reality in the production of machines for the extrusion and packaging of plastic pipes and profiles.

Particular attention is paid to the research and development of new products which are always on the cutting edge to satisfy and even anticipate requirements of a market which is getting more and more competitive, structured and exacting.

A team of young technicians and engineers is always available for customers' after-sales service both in our premises and by the client's pant with business travels all over the world.

Production and sales of thousands machines both in the developed and in the developing countries are tangible evidences of the professional competence and reliability of our company.
