SACMI Logico

LOGICO is a software tool designed to optimise management of line production. The system supervises the status of the machines, providing a complete real-time overview of the line. Appropriate diagnostic tools aid identification of any problems and their causes. Useful reporting tools allow the various company departments to obtain information essential to the decision-making process with ease.

LOGICO allows the user to view the status of connected machines, showing key data in real time. This ensures the operator always has a constant overview of line status and is able to monitor the parameters of the different machines from a single point.

LOGICO provides tools to identify any problems that occur on the line and investigate their causes. The system records the alarms generated by the machines to which it is connected and generates statistics, listing them by duration and number of occurrences. It also displays the most significant machine process parameter trends: this makes it easier to identify line inefficiency factors.

LOGICO contains a reporting tool that lets users create their own reports quickly and easily. The system keeps track of output counter values and other variables provided by the machines to which it is connected. Users can include the information they personally consider to be the most important for their analysis in the reports, choosing from among the data items recorded and made available by LOGICO (output counters, material consumption, alarms, etc.). This feature is available online, allowing users to access reports from anywhere.

The reports section provides some performance parameters calculated on the basis of the machine counters. Such performance indicators can be displayed using filters similar to those present in the reports section. The system is designed for integrated management of preventive maintenance. The various functions provided include automatic task scheduling, creation of maintenance charts/cards and a completed task archiving system. These functions can be accessed via internet.

LOGICO lets users keep records of the production lots manufactured on the line. For each of these LOGICO stores the relative machine counter values. This allows accurate monitoring of how a lot is progressing. Completed lots are stored in the records; this lets operators view parameters of interest even after some time and make comparisons between different lots.
LOGICO also lets users manage key data on the products and materials used in the system, doing so in a way that can be integrated with existing management systems. The codes are inserted at a single point, thereby reducing the risk of any mismatches between the different systems that use them. LOGICO uses these codes to help manage production orders and calculate, where possible, consumption of materials.

SACMI Compression blow forming

Compression blow forming

The CBF machine (Compression Blow Forming) is based on a unique, innovative thermoplastic material conversion process that allows producers to obtain a container directly from the granulated material.

The conversion process is based on the continuous extrusion of the plastic material, which is then cut into doses (or ‘gobs’) of a predetrmined size.
The gobs are then placed in an open mould and moulded into a preform via a compression process. Inside this mould, the preform is thermo-regulated to a temperature that allows stetch-blow moulding to form a container. The containers exit the machine in line in a continuous orderly manner.

K 2016 – The final technological frontier for the beverage industry, with Sacmi

Extreme productivity and flexibility. At the Düsseldorf fair Sacmi will be showcasing its latest innovations on the caps and preform manufacturing front. Added value, “total” quality control systems, automation and efficiency.

Producing 1,000 caps per minute with just 24 cavities, a cycle time of just 1.4 seconds and the lowest energy consumption in the sector? Unleashing the full potential of marketing with advanced, flexible, practical digital decoration of caps? With Sacmi you can: and these are just a few of the technological innovations that’ll be on show at K 2016, the triennial international plastic exhibition being held from 19 to 26 October in Düsseldorf.

Caps & digital printing

A pioneer in closure-making compression technology, Sacmi has, over the years, developed incremental innovations, some of which will be previewed at the Düsseldorf fair. Cap digital printing solutions have now reached an even higher level of development and we’re already exploring what some consider to be the final frontier of digital decoration: unlimited colour development, ultra-high definition, yet also extreme flexibility to ensure the right response whatever the customer’s production/promotional needs.

Plastic containers

From cap to pack, Sacmi has harnessed all its compression technology expertise and know-how to design a completely new plastic container manufacturing platform (highly interesting applications in the pharmaceutical and dairy sectors will be presented at the fair), thus mounting a competitive challenge to alternative technologies thanks to outstanding flexibility, productivity and energy saving.

Preforms & Inspection systems

With Sacmi you can, thanks to a rare ability. Such as in the manufacture of PET preforms with injection technology, a sector where Sacmi has combined unparalleled productivity and quality with solutions that ensure maximum compatibility with existing moulds, thus offering a further competitive advantage in terms of flexibility.

Complete, integrated solutions, designed to make use and maintenance easier than ever. With one overriding goal: to give the manufacturer a competitive advantage in terms of efficiency. That’s why Sacmi has developed and market-launched advanced vision and quality control systems capable of inspecting every part of the product, identifying any potential defects and eliminating any risk of line inefficiencies.

Total quality control & after sales

Interoperability and user-friendliness? No problem, thanks to the advanced software that is shared by all Sacmi-designed vision systems, for every stage of primary packaging production from bottle to closure to labelling.

Visitors to K 2016 (Europe’s main event for the industry and, indeed, the world’s biggest) can expect all this and more, not to mention the reliability that Sacmi provides in terms of customer assistance; we have facilities on five continents, a far-reaching, efficient spare parts service and all machines feature remote control and assistance services that can be accessed from anywhere in the world.

Sacmi, the perfect partner for the beverage industry. Visit our stand at K 2016; specialised Sacmi technicians and personnel will be on hand to illustrate the latest products and identify the most suitable solutions to ensure your investment decisions are converted into success.

About us

Company details

Over 95 years of growth for Sacmi. It all began with nine mechanics
In 1919 began the long way for Sacmi Imola, Italian cooperative company placed in Imola, born thanks to 9 mechanics and smiths able in a very difficult period of time for Italy both economically and politically speaking to play an important entrepreneurial role in the Emilia Romagna mechanical industry.
From that time the Cooperative passed through highly relevant historical periods of time and of such importance that Sacmi Group, besides having reached a leadership position at international level in the several business sectors, narrates itself in a book which collects the most significant phases having signed and still signing the Group consolidation as a big international industrial reality. We present our way of narrating our history, because Sacmi, not only in Imola, has been the protagonist of a century. How? In a book of over 600 pages, enriched by archive images and historical signals of our country and of our community.
