About us

Company details

In Germany, FNR (Fachagentur Nachwachsende Rohstoffe e.V.) is the central coordinating institution for research, development and demonstration projects in the field of renewable resources. FNR was founded in 1993 by the German Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection and promotes the use of agri and silvicultural resources. It coordinates activities on renewable resources throughout Germany according to the guidelines of the R&D Funding programme for Renewable Resources.

FNR is also involved in various international activities. On this site you will find more information about the various international projects and cooperation FNR is already involved in, but also about FNR’s capabilities as potential partner in future EU-projects. Additionally, the most important EU-funding programmes are presented and useful hints for further information on respective project applications are provided. Links related to the European activities and contacts in the field of renewable resources can be found on this website as well.
Furthermore, some English information on renewable resources in general and their use in Germany are available. If you are looking for FNR publications you can find a choice of FNR publications in the “Mediathek” on the FNR website in English, Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish language.More detailed information about different aspects of the use and production of different renewable resources, the national R&D projects supported by FNR, FNR’s public relation work and the advisory service is only available in German.
