Our products

Product category: Hardener (UP resins)

Catalysts, accelerators and other additives for curing

Catalysts, accelerators and other additives for curing unsaturated polyester, vinylester and acrylic resins

Chemical crosslinking agents such as sulphur or organic peroxides are able to link polymer chains creating a three-dimensional network. This crosslinking reaction changes several material characteristics. The material characteristics of a crosslinked polymer will be superior to the equivalent characteristics of the non-crosslinked raw materials.

Safe processing and crosslink temperatures are important for selecting an appropriate crosslink peroxide.

The product selector enables you to list suitable crosslink peroxides by their safe processing and crosslinking temperature for each of the relevant applications.

Initiators for plastics manufacture

A wide range of organic peroxides and azo compounds are used as initiators for the radical polymerization of monomers. The main areas of application for these Initiators are in the manufacturing of low density polyethylene, polyvinylchloride, styrenics, acrylics and other polymers. Certain types of organic peroxides are also used for viz breaking of polypropylene.

An important factor for selecting an appropriate initiator is its decomposition rate, which is determined using its half life time. The half life is the time taken for half of the peroxide quantity to decompose in a specific solvent at a given temperature.

The product selector enables you to list suitable initators by their 1h half life temperature for each of these high polymers applications.
