Non-contact Discrete Part Measurement

The SLM device is designed for high precision length measurement of discrete parts. The SLM achieves an accuracy of approx. ± 0.2 mm for lengths in between 0.01 m to 2 m. It will achieve ± 0.4 mm for lengths up to 4 m. The system is designed for 100 % inline measurement as well as for manual random sample testing.

Measurement of width, heigth and diameter

BDM-systems are designed for measurement of width, height and diameter and is suited for nearly all material cross sections and widths. The accuracy of measurement is about 1/10 mm. The system is perfectly suited for measuring profiles, pipes, tubes and plates and it allows a 100 % control and documentation. It can be used to control dimensional tolerances to make a good/bad-inspection and thus it will lead to an optimization of waste.

Control of profile dimensions

PROFITEC is a device for indirect measurement and control of dimensions of extruded material. It is able to measure swell of material and material jam during extrusion, the measurement will be done directly at the die and so the system can be used to control the takeoff-speed and to control the extruder rpm. PROFITEC is perfectly suited for the control of dimensions of profiles, pipes, tubes etc. and it is completely independent of the extruded plastic.

Non-contact Length Measurement

µSPEED-systems are used for non-contact measurement of length and speed of moving surfaces up to 100 m/s. They are able to measure without slippage and they are independent of material. The sensors are permanently calibrated and do not need any maintenance. µSPEED-systems are perfectly suited for moving objects, such as web, coils, rolls and extrusion material. There is a wide range of applications, such as cut-to-length-control (e.g. after extrusion of profiles), calibration of tachometers, control of end length or even differential speed measurement. The sensors are available in a version for certification according to MID2014/32/EC.

ELOVIS offers as well services for measurement and calibration in the field of length and speed metrology.

µMOTION and µMONITOR are used for non-contact surveillance of material presence and material motion. The OEM market sensors are designed for machines which cannot be motion monitored elsewise. µMOTION detects material presence, standstill and motion as well as the direction of material movement. µMONITOR is additionally able to measure and monitor speed data with an accuracy adapted according to the underlying application.

Wireless Long Term Monitoring

LOGGING NODE is an OEM-system (integrated and external sensors). The systems are able to do a self-sufficient monitoring for a period of up to 10 years. The sensor network is wireless and self-organising, the pre-processing of the measurement data will be done on-board. Automatic alarm is triggered if a limit is exceeded.
