High-end DMA capabilities and flexible Fatigue testing capabilities in one single machine! 

METRAVIB, the world-renowned Dynamic Mechanical Analysis specialist, manufactures a new DMA+ series, designed to achieve a wide range of dynamic tests with one single test machine:

Glass transition
Frequency dependence up to 1kHz
Payne & Mullins effect
High frequency testing
Fatigue testing under various controlled waveforms
Rubber Heat Build Up testing (Flexometer mode)
Crack growth testing
 

A large choice of innovative specimen holders give practical and efficient testing solutions accommodating with most solid materials: elastomers, polymers, composites, metals, ceramics, bio-sourced materials, etc.

The new DMA+ series design consists of a floor standing mechanical test frame, controlled by a computer equipped with a dedicated software suit, including MULTITEST for fatigue testing and DYNATEST for accurate DMA analysis.

The new DMA+ series mechanical test frame has been designed to follow up stiffness variations over up to 7 decades.
Such a large analysis domain is especially critical to make possible.

Sophisticated algorithms make possible to apply accurately and continuously while material’s softening or stiffening, displacement (strain) or force (stress) amplitude with an incredible accuracy. Even thermosetting polymers can be tested while curing!

Frequency sweep tests can be performed from low frequency up to 1 kHz in a single test without hardware change.

Each DMA+ model includes a thermal chamber designed for an operating temperature range from -150°C to 500°C which can be associated to various cooling solutions: cryogenic source, air chiller, thermal exchanger…

Xpander: a revolution for Dynamic Mechanical Analysis!

METRAVIB, a specialist in dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), is proud to present Xpander. Used in association with a METRAVIB DMA instrument, Xpander enables DMA test runs on a large number of samples to be entirely automated. Laboratories can thus significantly increase the productivity of their test facilities.

Dynamic mechanical analysis serves to characterize the viscoelastic properties of materials (rubber and polymers) to an extremely high level of accuracy. In particular, it is the most accurate technique available to determine the glass transition of these materials (TG). Such properties are central to the performance and functional properties of manufactured products. It is essential to measure such properties in order to comply with new regulations.
The diversity of formulations used, combined with varied sourcing of raw materials, means that laboratories must conduct increasing numbers of tests.

As a pioneer in the robotization of dynamic testing, METRAVIB has been supplying the leaders of the rubber and tire industries with robotic dynamic mechanical analyzers for more than 15 years.
